I recently acquired an Operation Wolf.
The cabinet was previously in a bar with cigarrette burns all over the shelf area. After that it's sat in someone's kitchen for I don't know how long.
While waiting on some parts to repair it, I was thinking of dragging it out into the driveway from the garage and taking a bucket with a mild dishwashing detergent to wipe it all down and try to clean it up.
I'm unsure (which is why I'm writing this) if Pine-Sol would be a good idea as it may be too strong a cleaner to wipe off the original sideart, shelf, whatever.
Would using Pine-Sol be too powerful?

Only thing with Pine Sol is it can react with certain odors in wood and make for some funky smells. So, for me, I'll use it on a foul cabinet, but try and keep it off of any bare wood.

Really, best bet is HOT clean water and a rag for the first cleaning. I only go to cleaners if pure hot water isn't enough. About as hot as you can stand it though, and it'll dissolve all kinds of gunk. Wring it out so it's just damp, not sopping. After that, Pine Sol or one of the "Green" products, but lightly, and again, only damp. After THAT, magic eraser + Simple Green for me, with a light touch.

I'm sure you know this stuff but it's good to hear it from another angle. =)
