Okay I installed a cap kit and reflowed a 4600 got it looking sweet, brand new almost hooked it up to a 60 in 1 and it was upside down so instead of reading the directions on the board and using the dip setting a reversed the yoke wires, the wrong ones of course. Long story short I replaced the fuse reversed the yoke wires replaced the 2 transistors on the x/y board (had collapse like they all do when some idiot hooks them up wrong) got the picture back but it is hour glass shaped and on the left side there is a reddish line going through it. Anyone? I'm tempted to try another cap kit but thought I'd ask here first, oh ya I tried a whole different set of daughter cards from another perfect monitor and had the same results so I assume my problem is on the main board.

You say you reversed the "wrong" yoke wires? Does that mean you mixed the vertical and horizontal? If so, your issue may be with the yoke...

Yes I did :(

Funny to cause I read of people doing it all the time and I say what an idiot. Here I'm idot #1001. How could I confirm my yoke is damaged I ran the ohm meter and it looked right? any other way I have an extra yoke but I hate changing them I can never get it right yet anyways I hope to be proficient someday but I'm not there today.
