Noticed this morning On my Pinbot that the bulbs tied to the right side eye socket stay lit all the time. The left side bulbs seem to function ok (turn on and off when its supposed to through the modes). The bulbs are incandescent.

Any pointers on what i should look at first? I can sort of understand schematics and trace it back to the boards for it all, but was hoping to catch someone attention who maybe is familiar with this particular type of issue? I'm more used to entire strings of GI just simply going out!

manual should have a lamp matrix, and it should show the corresponding transistor that controls it I think.

brain is hazy right now. whatever controls it to go on and off went bad though.

Sure, will take a closer look tonight. The Lights in the eyeballs are a special 28v bulb, (#1251) and as far as I can tell aren't part of the regular lamp matrix, but rather is part of the solenoids arrangement (Solenoid 10). So with the light sticking on, i'm not really sure what failed component I should be looking for. I'm at work now, so just going by what documentation I can find.

otherwise the rest of the game seems to be functioning ok as far as I noticed, But i'll take a deeper dive tonight to see if anything else got knocked out or is malfunctioning.

As far as my ability goes of being able to read through the schematics, it looks like there is a tip122 transistors involved, as well as a 2n4401 that i will test on the weekend. further down the line there is a 7408 that is responsible for some GI, and hoping it hasnt caused a problem there, at least some of the other functions tied to the IC still seemed to be working when I was last looking at the game, so hoping it was limited to the two transistors. Fingers crossed.

Look through the diagrams. I don't know that game, but there may be a hung switch that could fix this. If not, it could be the transistor, but generally those blow and keep the light off, not on. It could be a reverse logic pullup, in which case it would be light on.
