I just bought a pinbot, and have batteries starting to corrode on the pcb. I want to do a lithium battery conversion. Is there a kit for that like defender has, or do I make my own remote holder? Does Pinbot recharge the batteries? Do I need a blocker diode in the new lithium battery system. It looks like the pinbot manual calls for regular alkaline batteries, so I assume they do not get a charge while the machine is on. In that case I assume I don't need to add a blocking diode.

Pinbot does not use rechargeable batteries, nor does it have a charging circuit. I guess you can change it to a lithium setup, but most guys simply use a remote battery holder.
