No one is home!

I just picked up a pinbot. (untested) It looks quite clean but after unpacking it and putting the legs on it does not do much.

So far all I get is some GI lights when power is applyed. That is it :001_ssad:

I don't think I will have much time to trouble shoot for now as the Wife is set to be induced friday @ 8am. (about 24hr's from now ) fingers crossed that it goes well!

Hello!

I am sorry to hear about the Pinbot, yet I wanted to congratulate you and your wife on the arrival of your young one! I also hope all goes well.

Always...

Congratulations on your new one, our youngest just turned 1. I hear you about the time needed to focus on a pin but family always comes first. I have been there and know from experience. This your first child? Take care.

Congrats on the Pinbot and Larger Congrats on your new Baby score, nothing in the world will compare to it! I'll Hijack your thread and mention that my Pinbot is home now too. I'm waiting for some help from the neighbors to haul it down in the man cave from the back of the minivan. It's also heavily raining here in the MN today too, crappy stuff!

Really cool you got that new baby. I know you will love and appreciate the crap out of it. It takes a bit to get them used to being normal, but years from now you will be so glad you put the effort in to make it what it should be.

Oh and congrats on your new child as well ;)

here's mine, just go it in the basement tonight!

Works perfect, no problems. The only thing is that it smells like a bar inside of it-- I had to remove the AA batteries there's some corrosion in the middle holder. What are the batteries used for High Score and saved inputs?

Thanks I dunno how many Pinbots were made but the SN on this puppy is #549

Congrads on the new baby!

Do your displays and stuff work? what happens when you credit the machine?

Nothing on the displays and it won't coin up. I hope to be looking into it some time next week. This one is S# 04193

Guys, this pinbot came with 2 system 11a boards. The one that is installed is clean looking. (but no life) the one that is extra looks to have many replaced parts and has had lots of problems over the years (not tested) .

Once I get back back home with the new baby I will start to trouble shoot this thing.

In the end if I can't get one of these working what do you think the cost of getting one fixed or (buying a working tested) system 11a board would be? who does this kind of work?

Well need to get the wife ready to head out for her last meal before we check into kaiser. I will post again when I can (hopefully with a pic of the little one).

Send your board to Rob Anthony:

It will probably cost about $150 but you will get a board that is 100% working. I would start with making sure your power supply board is putting out the correct voltages before troubleshooting the CPU board.

Cool Thanks!
