Howdy,

I was having a problem with one of the flippers in my Pinbot. I had recently replaced the solenoids and installed flipper rebuild kits on both flippers. The one thing I didn't replace was the switches (no particular reason - I think I had replaced everything else and went to try it out and they worked fine, so I closed it up and put the switches away for later).

But recently the left flipper has been weak. So I opened it up and checked and the problem seems with the double sided switch that shuts off the flipper (don't know the proper names). It's two leaf switches back to back with a tine with a little triangular plastic spacer between them. (proper name anyone?)

The problem is that the little triangular plastic spacer partially melted, and it was dragging on the edge of one of the leaf switches (at least that APPEARS to be the problem). See attached picture for reference.

So where can I buy either the little triangular spacer on a tine or the whole double sided switch assembly. I could probably find it with google if I even knew what it was called.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
John

The switch is called the " End of Stroke " switch or EOS. There are two separate switches in the assembly and if they don't remain seperated electrically you will cause major malfunctions to the cpu board! One is for the flipper main power and the other is the lane change switch. Any of the pinball supply houses mentioned numerous times on this board should be able to help you out, although in your first post you said "(no particular reason - I think I had replaced everything else and went to try it out and they worked fine, so I closed it up and put the switches away for later)".

The kit did include switches (one switch for each flipper), but not the little spacer in the middle. So it sounds like I need to order a full EOS switch. I'll change out the switch in the right flipper & then buy the EOS and install it in the left.

Sound about right?

Okay, not quite enough info yet. If I search for EOS or End of Stroke, I find listings for the switches, but not for the little triangular plastic spacer that goes between the two switches.

Any idea who sells that?
