My newly acquired PinBot is blowing the fuse that controls the GI on the right side of the playfield. It seems to be popping the fuse during the rapid flashing sequence during the attract mode. Where should I start?

Look at the resistor boards that are mounted near the lights. Some or all of the resistors have probably fallen off. They can get hot enough to melt the solder. Without the resistors, the bulbs get more voltage than they are designed to handle.

Could be it but it sounds like he is talkin about the relays shuttin the gi on and off, not flash bulbs.

The board under my pop bumpers was damaged the way you are describing, but it was also covered in silicone glue-kakke. Possibly one of his came unhinged and shorting on the GI lines?

It definitely could be something like that, but I think the first step is to repair the resistor boards. Without those resistors, that whole system is stressed more than it should be. Also, those flashers are painfully bright without the resistors, so it is a good first fix just for that alone.

I am not referring to the flashers themselves, but rather, when the GI and backbox relays rapidly click on and off for about 3 seconds during the attract mode.

That's what I was figuring you were talking about. Unless the resistors are shorting onto a GI line by touching it, they shouldn't even be involved..

Is everything working UNTIL the relay kicks in for that part of the attract mode? Can you start up a game before it uses the relay and the fuse doesn't blow?

I replaced the fuse for a third time and it hasnt blown since. Possibly just a fluke?
