Pinball Wizard Arcade in Pelham NH closing and needs to sell inventory.

Well, why wouldn't they if they are looking at CoinOp Warehouse's Facebook page. They see silly Europeans (sorry, no disrespect intended) throwing silly (once again, apologies and much respect to your rich and ancient civilizations) $$$money$$$ at Lloyd for as-is non-working project games - based off of a single picture.

Obviously, they are made of gold.... ;)

Its marketing.. people always say he sells for crazy prices but no one really knows what he sells the stuff for.

He makes his own market for what he sells, people in that position are not exactly against trying to inflate their own market with wrong info.

Just because its says $2k on his listing doesnt mean he sold it for anywhere near that. He has no reason to tell anyone he sold something for anything less then whatever crazy price he can dream up.

Its just marketing to make it look like a hot marketplace and everything you sell went for crazy prices... keeps pushing the market prices up at least on a psychological basis.

this UK auction for Robotron was at 2000 until it got "lost or broken."

I have played one of her restored pins at a friend's house who had it shipped back.
It was expensive, but it was definitely immaculate.

I hate you so much right now. :)

It's all good. Think about it this way, on the flip side, I can't hardly give away a working game around here (unless it is a premium title). Just a couple towns over, a working SNK Guerrilla War sat on facebook for $175 for over a month. Working monitor, rotary sticks, etc in a Dynamo cab. I didn't have space for it, and apparently nobody else did either.

Why was it a waste of time? Poor selection, only scraps left, bad prices?????

You decide.

$1200 for Buck Rogers with no boards.

$1900 for Stellar Wars.

EM's with no idea of function with no legs for $300-700

As someone else stated, I can get better deals off CL any day of the week.

If an operator has space - free space - they have an advantage on pricing. I imagine she has to have those games out of her retail space at some point soon and won't want to buy storage space or truck all the machines around. The prices should drop if everyone takes a deep breath and let's time work for them.

I went last week and the prices were ridiculous. $2,800 for a Bad Cats, $3,000 for NBA Fastbreak, $1,200 for a millipede, I think 3k for Maverick. Can't remember too many other specifics, but they were all up there.

The prices are atrocious, but Sarah isn't looking to sell to collectors like us. She's openly honest about looking to move as much as she can to random people who want a game in their basement and have no idea how much these things are really worth. Take a look at the Facebook page and you'll find more than a few yokels thrilled with their $2200 beat-to-shit Ms. Pac purchases and the like.

Wait for the monitors to die and buy them off Craigslist in a couple of years. She's just refilling basements and garages for us.
