I just looked at one in great condition however the LED and siren were not working. The lady selling it said her son got sick of the siren and turned it off. She said the scoring LED always worked though.

I looked for a switch and I looked inside the box to se if the LED was hooked up and it was.

Does anyone know if this is something easy like a switch I'm missing?

This would be my first pin so I'm relatively clueless.

Please advise ASAP as I have to get back to her soon to let here know if I want it or not. $300.

ok I will do as you say!! haha.

I know absolutely zip about pins. This will either be a good learning experience or a complete nightmare.

I'm sure you'll see a lot of posts from me in the repair forum next week!

Yeah I have one - my siren doesnt work either, but I paid over $1000

Snatch it up quickly. Even if it needs a new DMD, it's a major steal at $300

I bought it. I just have to go pick it up. I Already got an update from the woman.

She says that the LED lights up after it's been on for a while. Any ideas as to why that would be?

If the DMD is lighting up after being on a while, it could just need a rebuild of the HV section. That's a pretty straightforward repair involving a handful of parts available in kit form with instructions.

You may not get that lucky though and need a new DMD assembly, still available but a little more pricey.

For repair info go to: www.marvin3m.com and look for the link, "information on fixing and repairing pinball machines".

Yeah, for $300 thats highway robbery... THAT YOU'RE COMMITING!

Not to rag, but I can't believe someone would come on here and ask if a DOPE themed DOPE game and highly sought after is worth $300 with some minor problems.

I'd happily pay $600 without a doubt even if the playfield was hammered, no sirens and LED...

What he said. $300 is unreal. There was one listed for $800 a while back I tried to get but no luck.

REVLIN thanks for the info.

And as for the rest of you guys who think I'm crazy for asking if it was worth getting... I really was not ready to look for or buy any pin until I knew a little more about the market, machines, pricing, repairs, parts etc. The little that I do know told me that if it was a pin made in the 1990's then it was worth some coin and probably a good machine.

And MANYAXES, I was shocked that I got the call to go down there. After all, I didn't respond until a few hours after it was posted. And then I didn't even go to the woman's house until about 4pm the next day.

I usually never have lucky with anything on craigslist. Maybe my luck is taking a turn for the better. That would be a nice change!
