Pinball Pete's in East Lansing Michigan. Still a great place to hang out!

Had an occasion to be in East Lansing this week so took my daughter over to a great "basement arcade" style place just off of the campus of Michigan State University. It has an underground vibe without being too seedy :)

Was glad to see it is still going strong with a good selection of classics and new games (Dual Screen Time Crisis 5!), as well as 10 pins that range from Cyclone to "The Walking Dead". The Medieval Madness was in perfect working order (as was Addams Family) and still set for $.50.

Great place if you ever find yourself over that way. It didn't show up on my GPS, but it is still there.

My parents live in Ann Arbor. The pins at Petes are hit or miss at best. Most have issues. I usually go when I visit but spend more time playing pins at Marvins.

Last I checked Michigan football lost to MSU in humiliating fashion...

Beat me to it!

Never been to the one in Ann Arbor, but I often went to the one in Frandor Shopping center during my high-school years when visiting. That one was jammed with classics.

Nice to see that you went to Pete's! The one in Ann Arbor is far superior- much larger, more pins, etc.

The pins in Ann Arbor are now very well maintained. One of our fellow KLOV'ers is now managing the spot and the pin section has grown substantially with all the new titles and many old greats, and they are also very well maintained. Love the place and it is really nice to see it get some new legs (no pun intended with the pins...well maybe there was).

I'm not much of a college football fan, but East Lansing does not come close to Ann Arbor as far as cities or things to do- sorry guys but that one is not really up for debate.

That's good to hear. Last time I went was two xmas's ago, some pins were playable but many had issues. Last year I skipped it and just went to Marvins. This year I'll give Petes another shot. I did play a bunch of elevator action returns last time I went.

Ann Arbor is great. I was thrilled when my folks moved out there. They previously lived in Dearborn. I got out of Michigan 20 years ago, still like to visit twice a year.

:) too funny. I've been out of Michigan for too long apparently. Haven't been following big-10 (12?) that closely since high school (late 80's).

I'll root for UofM, as long as they aren't playing MSU or (gawd) WMU. I'll also root for whoever is playing against Ohio State or Notre Dame!
