Well the pinball tourney was a smashing success. The kids had a blast and none of the machines broke down (phew :p) They played 5 games on each machine. There was a winner for the high score on each machine (5bucks) and an overall winner (a wii game) My son got the high score on WCS94, HS2, and TAF and was the overall winner. But we decided to give all the prizes to the kids who finished 2nd to him.

Awesome! I bet they had a great time with it too. The first time I had the church youth over, I had a Donkey Kong hi score challenge, and a pinball hi score challenge. I didn't know if all the kids did I-tunes, so I just stuck with Wal-mart gift cards.

As for Grand Champion, the scores should be weighted. That one kid stomped everyone on skateball, but it really boiled down to who killed on WCS94 since the scoring is so out of balance on it.

Next time I'm going to do an easier scoring scheme. You can play a golf style. You set a score and then see how many balls it takes them to get that score. I have some good average data scores now so I can set that up. It was a ton of work keeping all those scores!

Yes, it is a huge chore to be score keeper. I've done it at my place for a tourney, and spent the whole night keeping track.

Next time I'll use a white board and the honor system.
