Pinball Noob Observation: Novus 2 vs. Plastic Ramps
Hory Alien Baby Scully!!! I'm absolutely amazed. Never knew they could go from yellowed, dingy and slow to clear and fast in two or three application. I went from considering buying replacements to WOW in a mere 6 hours.
This was in an X-Files pin and I ended up putting LEDs under all these ramps since there were so many burned out incans and good God the colors just pop. Using cool white, blue, and red really bring out the colors of the playfield and plastics. The family and I don't notice any flicker but I do have some ghosting issues under the playfield. Seems like green and white are the biggest offenders so I'm going to order some Ghost Buster LEDs for those.
I really can't believe how well the Novus 2 worked and if there are any other noobs out there thinking about replacing dirty ramps, don't until you try it.
