This is a project I wanted to get working on since my sister started a business printing on metal. I took over her equipment Monday to create a profile for and print instruction cards on metal. I think they look awesome and wanted to share. Played around with different thickness of metal and found a good fit that will allow flexibility to put them in. Ill have to get some better pics after looking at these uploaded from my phone - anyone else have metal cards on their machines?

Those look great I would buy them for my pins. The top of my list would be my F-14. Any idea what a set would be if you started selling them?

Thanks! Ill be doing some for some friends to get some feedback to start and will post. The better the image the better the print and not all of the cards available/shared online are high resolution.

Have no idea on pricing need to look in to material costs per card. I also need to figure out what would be OK to sell from a copyright perspective. I know there are people who offer printing service if you provide the image. Heck even Staples will do that. I will post more as I get them printed and let ya know. Any feedback is appreciated although this is not a sale thread :)

Attached would look cool

How do you install them without scratching the paint on the apron, if they are made out of metal don't you have sharp edges to deal with ?

Good question - the corners can be rounded out or smoothed out easily to take the point off. I personally installed mine without rounding the corners and they popped right in. The metal is thin enough that I was able to bend it in place without scratching... and I would say the metal is "soft" enough that it doesnt have that sharp of an edge if that makes sense.

Certainly possible to scratch though - great point Ill mess with the edges on the ones I have done.

If I were able to offer these up - what do you guys think is a fair price for a set?

Got some more metal in stock - Some new ones for a friend...

no idea about price. My guess would be the cost of it to you and then up it by 50 or 75 % or something like that with shipping included.

I might get hate for this but I would be interested for a set for my Shaq Attaq if the price is good.

Great job on these

those mustang plate borders are awesome

(don't have that pin, but if it did, i'd have to have those :) )

anything special for:
TAF
Tron
Q*bert's Quest
Defender
Super Mario Bros
GOTLE

?

Thanks guys I'll shoot ya some pms I've sent some out to friends for feedback and pricing thoughts. Will let ya know

Glad there is some interest they really are pretty cool. Im working to get set up so I can actually offers these to people. One thing to call out is I in no way am looking to make money off of the images being printed the services that would be offered is custom printing. That said I will probably ask people to provide me with the image of your choice to print.

Still looking for feedback on pricing per set shipped as well. I have asked this of the people I sent them to so that they can review the quality and provide feedback on packing/shipping and total price per set.

id like a set for my bally nitro ground shaker and a set for my WWF royal rumble

dependant on price

what we talking 10/15/20 bucks per set here?

I am going to try these out at $35 a set at the Ohio Pinball show but will have very limited quantities and limited options. This is based on feedback from those who I have sent some out to. Ill adjust price based on my experience and feedback from there. So far I think I will be bringing a custom Tron set I am making, Funhouse, Metallica, Simpsons Pinball Party, and TAF or LOTR.

I may be inclined to hook up people here on klov... Im getting closer to offering these up officially... this thread was intended to drive interest/feedback

I may also consider a price cut if the customer were to send me the images they want printed already sized and ready to go as this would cut out a lot of time for producing these. Will also consider discount for purchasing multiple sets.

Still trying to get this all figured out - I appreciate the interest i am not in the printing world so Im trying to make this work. I am getting there - feedback is always appreciated!

I havent forgot about the requests in this thread - Ill be pm people who showed interest over the next couple weeks.
