I just bought a secret service pinball and the seller talked me into buying his pinball lift.It sure makes moving the games around in my garage alot easier.Does anyone else use one of these?

I think the better question is: Who DOESN'T use one of them?

I'm the only pin guy I know without one, and I'm going to remedy that VERY soon.

I need one real bad. My dad and I are going to design one and if it's not too hard, I can probably make a few extra to sell.

I do not have a lift, I bought the one from user Jabetc, type in pinball lift on ebay. I tell you what, this thing is worth every penny. However I will say as I have added many more machines I am now toying with the $350 one. I would definitely buy one of these though if you have just a few machines and have a budget.

I've got one in the back of my work truck right now. Got to pick up a LOTR in the morning for service...

I don't have one, but i have 5 teenage sons! (moving ANYTHING is not a problem) We can put 2,500 bails of hay in the barn in about 2 hours!

I dont have one either. Not sure I can see justifying the cost (350$!?!) unless I was constantly moving pins around either.

I don't have one. I'm sure it would be useful from time to time but it's not something I've really felt I've needed enough to buy or make one. I would put a playfield rotisserie a lot higher on the "must have" list personally.

Maybe I'll be singing a different tune in my next house.

EDIT: I do have some 3-wheel casters that fit under the legs. Those are awesome.

I agree with you Lindsey. I have an appliance dolly with a strap that I use to move the games around. I would much rather have a playfield rotisserie (I'm building one one that I will have to post about separately).

I too have the three wheel castors, they are excellent on flat smooth surfaces. On carpet, not so much :)

some ppl use a motor cycle/atv/ tranny jack with a simple cage adapder bolted to it, they sell em at pinball shows like this.

I got it on sale for $120 and modified the handle to fit under a machine.

Bought one last weekend, and LOVE IT! This is the way to go, it doubles up as a tool and parts table when doing a shop job. It also gets lower to the floor than a pinball lift so it is easy to stand on end by yourself so you can go to a dolly if you like. No mod, accept the handle. I just left the handle out.

Care to share what you did to Mod the handle, I need to do it yet.

One of the local pinheads has made a rig to go on a sears atv lift... He calls it the pinball lifter and sells them at various shows.
Here's his site...

He also has one that tilts for the full monty!

I think they're pretty cool, but I already have my modified hydraulic lift table (just one of the small 600lb tables with a couple of 2x4s bolted to the top... also was very handy when installing my replacement (double) wall oven :)

cheers

I own a pb lifter and love it. I have a ceramic floor and they also offer a rubber wheel kit for the jack that wont chip or crack the floor tiles. The lift adapter will work with the sears ATV jack or the Harbor Freight ATV jack.
