Hi,
Any tips on putting the legs onto a pinball machine? Something with one or two people would be great. Looking to see how to hold the machine while attaching them. I don't think I have anything high enough to set it on, but could be wrong.

Thanks for any tips,

depends on where the pin is? Still on the truck? slide the back off, attach the two legs, slide it on off at an angle to where one corner is barely clear (but the other corner still on the truck). attach 3rd leg, then slide off and do the last one. Had to learn the hard way, usually no one here when I get home;)

sitting in the middle of the floor? stand on end, attach the 2 front legs, stand it up, put the back on a bar stool and do the back legs

course, I have seen a couple people just balance the back on thier upper leg while they attach the legs

I stand them on their backs....attach front legs...set them down....lift rear and hold on my knee while kneeling....attach rear legs....one person...no probs.

I always just lift one half and sit it on my hip and but the legs on. Make sure the legs and bolts are in reach. With two people I lift onto my pinball lift, raise up and put the legs on. Too easy this way...

Agreed - a modification to this is get a stool that's tall enough and put it below for the back legs. Some games are really heavy and you might need help lifting up the back.

I have an old wooden bar stool that works GREAT. Most games I can lift enough to get the back on the bar stool. From there it's a piece of cake. Most difficult was Twilight Zone... I nearly lost it before I could get that one on the stool. I almost had to call in my 15 yo daughter to help out. Wife says I'm on my own when it comes to the pins. :))

I couldn't lift MM. I just couldn't get the machine to leave the floor at all. Really heavy I guess. I remember TZ being REALLY difficult. My wife is really good that way - helps when I need her. Even helps me shop games.

Here's my little helper. Picked it up at a yard sale for $2. Gonna drill a few holes in the side so I can pin it!

I use the old "wooden bar stool" method too, works every time and I can usually manage it by myself. The only one that almost got me was a Haunted House, dang that game is a heavy weight... I usually always make sure my wife or one of my kids are around when I do it too, just in case someone has to call 911.... ;^)

Legs

A nice two foot ladder works great and if you have two of them you can put one in the front and one in the back while you put the legs on. Also my wife and I found a small kitchen table as long as you have some of the pinball machine hanging off the sides hanging off to get the legs on. You can find an old kitchen at a yard sell for cheap. The ladders cost a little more but the ladders work great.

I have two folding saw horses from lowes. They work great as they are about three inches higher than pins and are about $20 a piece. These make taking on/off pin legs easy.
