So I found a pinball table for sale and got to thinking about the floods that happened due to the hurricane. So I asked the seller if it was in the flood water. She stated that they got 18 inches of water and the machine was in it. The legs were removed and it was sitting upright. She states that the water didn't get under the glass. But my concern is the hazards of that water. Most of flood water has sewage in it. What do you all think?

18" of water with the legs off definitely sounds like enough to get into the playfield no matter what config it was stored in. I think the machine's probably a write off outside of all metal and plastic parts.

I'd check what PAPA did with their machines after their flood but I'm pretty sure most of em weren't really salvageable.

Get it cheap and see whats what. Lots and lots of parts could be salvageable even if the cabinet is a complete loss. And if it was wood instead of pressed MDF style then that could even be okay if it was able to dry quick enough. Disinfect, sand, disinfect, exc. if need be. Wouldn't bother me if the price was right.

What game? As most have said, its probably shot. Best case would have been getting it opened up and dried out by now. Rust, oxidation and mold are already setting in. Also, as others have said, there are still probably a lot of salvageable parts if nothing else.

Gottlieb Premier is bad
Atari pinball is worse
Well at least all the boards are still probably there despite missing the head, lol.

It's listed for a $100, if it was close to me I'd probably get it just to part it out, turn the playfield into a wall hanger. Unless it had termites, which given it's Florida is like an 80% chance based on the pics. Then there's only one option

Was curious and looked it up, apparently for Superman and Hercules the boards are in the backbox unlike other Atari games where they mounted them in the body. So no boards for OP if they pick it up.
