My friend has one of these pins and asked me if I could figure it out.
He said it seems as if it's stuck on tilt and was wondering if anyone knows maybe why or possibly what could cause this.
I haven't seen it yet, or worked on a pin before, but he said all the manuals and paper work is there. any help or input would be appreciated!

Probably not much help...

Well, I can give this a try. I'm not an expert by any means but learning. I've got a Spacelab from about the same year. Seems to be stuck on tilt whenever someone hits the power switch while a ball is in play. Then you turn it back on, hit a flipper to power it on, and it stays on tilt and the ball won't reset back to the plunger.

I opened it up, and had read somewhere that you could reset it on the coin mech. I have mine set to free play, but when the kids stick it on tilt, I'm able to get it by moving the piece that the coin would go by. I'm gonna sound lame cause I don't even know what that's officially called, but if you picture a small paper-clip like wire in the bottom of the coin mech, I just push that up and back down, and the tilt resets and sends the ball back up to the plunger.

Possibly the worst description of all time, but I took a pic, and circled the small wire I just push up and down to get it to reset. If this actually helps, it's a miracle, but the problem you described is what I have when the kids do what is described above, and works every time. Let me know if the pick helps.
