Visiting my brother who lives and works here in LV. I had some free time so I made my first trip to The Pinball HOF today.

Pretty awesome. Rows and rows of pins and some arcade/redemption mixed in on the sides. Even have an ICB.

The guy working there was really nice. He was in the back at a workbench. He was being interviewed by some lady with a notepad. I got a ball stuck while playing DE Star Wars and he came over, got the ball free and gave me two quarters to keep playing.

I'll post pictures later. I'm definitely going to be going there during future trips to LV. :)

Yes it is, Jess! Glad you could make it. I love it. I've been to the old location twice, and to this location twice... A must see/play for any KLOV er when in Vegas.

Glad you enjoyed it... I'm way overdue for another visit. Haven't been there since early '10.

Yeah, I was thrown off a bit because Google maps street view was showing what looked like an abandoned furniture store. But got there and they had done some work on the building since (covered the front windows with stucco) and it looks more presentable. They just have a banner in plain text hung up. I may try to go again tomorrow.

I was there when they were covering the window. I was taking a break outside, and the workman almost tipped over on his scaffolding...

Yeah, the old location had WAY too much glass window glare.

Not the greatest neighborhood or building for the new location. But it's well worth it. I guess some members here have been a little put off by the location and rough interior (and the banner)... But like I said before; If you want singing bears and painted stripes on the walls, ya' got to go somewhere else.

And I really don't worry too much if I lose 2bits in a machine once in a while... it's for a good cause.

Yep, try to get in there for a couple more hours, while you're in town:)

Agreed. I couldn't care less about the building or location. Just mentioned it because I went not knowing if I would find it. Haha.

Almost all the games are running and it's an amazing selection. Like I said, the guy working there is cool. I just told him the ball was stuck so the machine wouldn't be down. He just gave me the quarters.

They have a huge blown up copy of a check that they wrote to the Salvation Army last year. $400K. Awesome.

C'Mon, Jess!! The PHOF is right across the street from that great Vegas landmark, The Liberace Museum... Every good KLOVer knows that. Sheeeez!!

LOL. I'm going to be honest with you Brian. I don't plan on swinging by the Liberace Museum. :)

Yeah, pics! He has got a lot more pins and vids, since I was there last...

I assume the Tron pin is $0.50 to play... Gotta check that out.

If my timetable works out, I hope to up there this Fri. Anybody else for a weekend Vegas run?:D

Holeee crap! Is that a Sterlite tub on the SID?

I was there last week and was pretty stoked to get to play a Tron pin for the first time. Such an awesome collection. Did you check out the Butthead in the Rolling Stones pin? Pure comic gold.

All the newer pins are $0.75 for 5 balls.

Yes, Tron is pretty cool. I actually didn't look closely at the Rolling Stones pin. I'm not really a fan of the band and the pin doesn't look that great to me. I think your picture of Beavis confirms that. ;)

When I went there the sticker machine was jammed... the guy came over, cleared the jam, and even swapped the sticker out for one I wanted (Stewie Griffin) to put on my new laptop.

I mainly played the older EM pins and loved every minute of it. If I get back out to Vegas I'll be sure to stop in again. The place is awesome and the staff is really laid back and cool.

I went in November of 2009 and loved the PHOF :) It was my first and only time in Vegas and it was by far one of the best things there.

Playing games, the competition, camaraderie - it was the best! :) All that just for a few quarters.
