Read his posts Frizz. The majority of his posts are mindless inflamatory remarks. He is the next hawkfan. Maybe he is one in the same? Regardless I agree. Enough is enough.

Absolutely nothing wrong with speaking your mind but what is a problem is your knowitall attitude. You're the one that appears to defend every word from your mouth is gospel. I don't give a damn how many machines you claim to fix. Your opinion is an opinion only not fact. That's where the problem is. Try starting or ending your sentences with I think' or imho or I feel, big difference.

Yep, I've been in the hobby for a long time and owned tons of games, fixed tons of games, bought/sold/traded tons of games, and have helped a shitload of people fix theirs both in person and over the 'net. The majority of my posts are mindless, inflammatory remarks. You got me pegged! :D

I knew disagreeing with the guy y'all view as the resident expert on everything would earn me the most h8d title but that's not going to keep me from speaking my mind. It's not a secret that some people are just followers, and aren't always wise about who they choose to lead them.

Richard...

First off... I bought tempered. Secondly, you've expressed your opinion... multiple times. Third, while I respect Ken, I disagree with his opinion as well. BUT I also (A) Recognize he's welcome to it... (B) Recognize he has as much right as me, you, or any one else to express it... and (C) recognize he has much more experience than I do... you do... or just about anyone does here and as such is not a "blind fool" expressing his "untested" opinions. If the man uses plate after 30+ years in the business, who am I to say he is "wrong"? That said... I prefer to take the "just in case" route. It's not that much more expensive... and I am in no rush... so why not? Now, if I had 50 pins I needed glass for... and the price difference was $15.00... I may actually CONSIDER the plate...and look deeper in to it...but I am not in that position (nor is anyone else likely to read this post).

It's one thing to express your opinion... even multiple times... it's another to be a dick about it. For one reason or another you've chosen the latter in this thread. Trust me... I've been there (and likely will be there again)... I'm no angel. Just letting you how how I'm taking the attitudes of this thread.

Bottom line... buy what you wish... the pros and cons of plate have been gone over (and over (and over (and over)))... make an educated decision based on your situation.

Well said.........

Got the glass today (2 sheets). Even though they (the glass company) ordered "no logo"... sure enough, the logo was there. I accepted the glass with the understanding I could return it if it was too distracting. I figured it wouldn't be and I was right. The logo is covered by the lip of the backbox and you can't see it on either Xenon nor Whirlwind.

I was surprised On this one. Tempered on a Gumball machine.
I shipped it to Sweden. Double boxed Ect. Buyer was Very Happy with the packing Job. But Still a Mess.

I visited pinball past in Omaha today and the guy pulled some glass on a widebody and put it down on concrete and I was secretly hoping for a shatter. Sadly it did not happen.

He had a defender in there and it was awesome. Did not get to play. I did play some old baseball EM machines. Thinking about getting a touchmaster off of him. He wants $250, but it is old and not as cool as a old model megatouch.
