I know one of you guys has a hookup. Lemme know. Trying to avoid having to get a 2-pack from PBL...shippings really not that bad but if I can pick up two sheets locally I'd like to get it done. Mine are really scratched up and seen better days.

I worked 73 hours last week and working 65 this week. I dont have time to futz around with the yellow pages if someone knows a place offhand thats trustworthy and can judt get it done.

My wife refuses to do this stuff for me because shes afraid she wont get it right and then I get mad. :p

yellow pages ?
any glass shop ?

What's yellow pages? Do they still make those?
But don't local glass shops charge around $75-$100 for tempered?

There will be pinball glass for sale at the HAAG Arcade Expo. $25 a sheet. This is where I buy mine. http://arcadecenter.com/

The price is right but can't make it down to Houston on Nov 11th & 12. Like Frax I put in close to 80 hours a week and work seven day a week. So something local is preferred.

If they quoted me $75 to $100 for a sheet of glass, I'd just laugh and call somebody else - there are plenty of glass shops to choose from, and it's just a matter of shopping around.

I've got a small shop in Austin I use where I picked up a widebody sheet for ~$26 - tempered, no logo, and they did an awesome job. That's with me picking it up, but I can't imagine they'd tack on another $50+ for delivery...

Not to hard to call a local place. Type into google, glass shops near "insert city". Takes maybe minute. Give them dimensions, tempered and no logo. If they ask if you want flame polished edges, say no. Was an extra $50 for me. Last sheet I got was around $45 and I picked it up.

I sent out some emails last night. I just dont want to wait for replies. I didnt think it was that difficult of a question fir the other guys here to answer. Christ.

Got my first response. 60$ each.

Wow - that just seems nuts. My guy actually has his made in San Antonio, and transported to Austin, and it's still less than half of that. Sorry!
