i know it's console virtual pinball, but i figured i'd see if anybody else had tried this out. if you bought the first pinball fx, the new "skin" is a free download....it will transform your old tables using the new graphics/physics engine. there are also 4 new pbfx2 tables you can download ($10 for the 4-pack).

i got it today...pretty cool. really liked the deep see pin (can't remember the exact name). borrowed elements from several real life pins (suspended captive ball as in junkyard and also several cool magnets).

anyway, i thought it was pretty cool and wanted to give everyone a heads up....here's a link to the website and a youtube link to the official trailer:

I tried that out last night, just the trial, but yeah its pretty good. Another gem of a game is Pinball Hall of Fame, Williams Edition, which comes with these "real" tables:

Black Knight
Firepower
Funhouse
Gorgar
Pin*Bot
Space Shuttle
Taxi
Whirlwind
The following are in the PSP, Wii, PS3 and 360 versions only:

Jive Time (Unlockable for PS3 and 360 versions)
Sorcerer
The following are in the PS3 and 360 versions only:

Tales of the Arabian Nights[1]
Medieval Madness[1]
No Good Gofers[3]

Absolutely LOVE Williams Collection. I got it for the Wii and just ordered it for my PS3 just so I can enjoy the extra tables.

It's been a couple of years, I'm surprised the developers didn't release any more collections (other than Gottleib which actually came out in Europe before we got it, is a recreation of the GameCube/PS2 game, and just isn't as good to be honest).
How awesome would it be to have a "sequel" themed collection? Since the first game had Pinbot and Black Knight, I would TOTALLY go for a new game to come out with Bride of Pinbot and Black Knight 2000 on it.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to buy the Gottleib one. A Data East or Bally one though, wow. And think, they could release extra tables as DLC. Oh well, I guess there just aren't *enough* pinball fans out there to warrant serious consideration of the licensing/etc.

yeah, i've got the williams collection for the 360....fantastic. pretty decent physics model, though it's waaaaaaaaaaay to easy to nudge the table and keep the ball in play. i don't care how good you are in real life at nudging, it's more of a skill than simply flicking the analog stick right before the ball drains. :)

my friend and i have often wondered the same thing as y'all though: why not release more "real" tables as DLC??? they could charge $10 a table and i'd buy them if they were good enough tables...

I have both of the hall of fame on my Wii Loader. They did a great job. I am a huge VP / FP fan as well. I at least have the cabinet for my hyperpin, but the money I was saving for a 37 inch LCD went to the Alien Poker this last weekend.

I only have a wii console and wished I could try some of these other virtual games. Nothing compares to a real pin, but I do not have an AFM, FH, MM, CC, AFP, TSPP, .....

I have most of the iphone pinball apps. They suck though.

I see all virtual as a + though. At least it is exposing more folks to pinball. A big step up from NEZ Pinbot and folks can see that it is just not flipping the ball, there are goals.
