Hi,
Could anyone point me to a pinball forum? I am looking for a few older EM parts and I have not had any luck here.

When you contact Steve Young's site be ready for a chewing.
he loves to belittle people and he's a jerk. He's even an arse to wise old EM experts.

Wife is nice as can be, though but she defers everything through him.

I'd never own another EM pinball as long as he is in charge of all the EM parts in the universe.

So true, I've ordered from him a few times and he was not pleasant.
The first time I ordered he yelled at me because he didn't like the way I gave him my address then lectured me about how the post office won't deliver packages if my address isn't in a specific format. I said "well, I've never had an issue before" and I think it just mad him more mad. It's crazy, so much so that he has a few things I need and can't find anywhere else and I've been putting it off because I don't wanna talk to the dude.

Bahahahaha. Nothing like being roasted by Steve! Once you get to know him, he is a pretty nice guy.

I've never had any trouble with pbresource, although I order via email. Maybe it's not as personal, but it stays nice and business-like. Any time I wasn't sure what the part was I just made sure to give enough information and he was able to fill in the blanks and get me the right piece.

Also seconding rgparchive (web front for rec.games.pinball newsgroup). All the old timers hang out there. Be sure to read the FAQ. There's a whole sub-group called Team EM that you can direct issues to, those guys are wizards.

Steve Young Rules:

1) Know your part numbers on specific parts. Things like flipper kits and rubber ring kits are the exception. Look on http://www.pbresource.com/ for bumper caps and other somewhat generic parts.

2) If you don't know the part numbers, tell him that you don't and that you want to buy a manual. $20 most of the time and he'll usually help you more with unknown part numbers on the same order.

I don't know that Gloria is his wife.

He doesn't take credit cards and once you understand how to deal with him, he's a really nice guy. His prices are usually very good as well.

I have never had an issue with Steve and I am fairly new to the hobby, the first time he did ask for part numbers, but never has given me an grief and has helped on a couple of occasions in digging up a part number for items I couldn't find 1 for.

But everyone has their own experiences I would imagine. ;)
