Pinball Expo Roll Call

Driving...will a 3/4 ton handle the treasures? Doing the Bus tour Friday to Pinball Life's new building with open house/free beer...then I may need to rent a trailer ...

My wife and I are thinking about going. We are planning on arriving Friday morning. Any newbie information that you can pass along, and anything for the non-pinball wife to do that's close by?

The pinball life tour is the first I have heard of this and was wondering if there are any other "events" not listed on the pinball expo schedule on their website.

Well, there are 2 large malls within 5-10 minutes driving. (Northbrook and Hawthorne malls) The hotel is also located on Milwaukee ave, also referred to as "Restaurant Row" in Wheeling. There are a dozen excellent restaurants within a 1 min drive from the hotel! The train station is also real close, so you could catch a train right into downtown Chicago, plenty to do down there!

I'll be there... As a speaker and the guy to ask any repair / troubleshooting questions thoughout the show... :)

I will be there, thought I would wing the hotel for tonight, turns out every hotel from Dubuque, IA to Wheeling IL is booked. So we finally found the last room in a shit hole in Rockford.

I'll be there Fri-thru-Sun (maybe). Since the games are CLOSED on Friday during the day for the Tournament (booo!!!), I'm going to Pinball Life's open house for a bit....and then I'll try to play games at Expo all nite long after the tourney is over. I'll come back for games on Saturday....and I figure if I play all night, I might just skip Sunday - I hear on Sunday a lot of the games start getting packed away before the show's over. I'll probably be pinballed out by then!

We should totally do a KLOV meetup at some point!
