Every so often I run across these and have seen a few different models. They are perfect for holding that bottle of beer while playing. I decided to get a few but see so many different versions.

Can anyone recommend one type of cup holder over another? Best place/price to buy??

I got mine at pinballlife.com and ordered the right hand side, but mounted them on the left side instead, looks pretty clean and allows me to still squeeze between my machines for the never ending maintenance...sigh...

Normally I would make this kind of thing myself, but for the price and ease of install I bought 4 from pinballife.
You can't go.wrong.

they thought these out pretty well I think. It even has a slot running down the front for your coffee cup handle. Beer bottles, cans, wine glasses, coffee cups, it suits them all

I still prefer this kind of beer holder, works for shot glasses too (if they are big enough;) )......

There's a couple making & selling these on The Bash for $12 + shipping. Thought I'd post the info because the benefit of this design is you don't have to get one for every one of your games--as it can be moved from game to game.

Here's their write up:

Made out of metal. These just hook on the side rails with no fasteners or adhesives. They can easily be moved from game to game. They have protective backing so they won't mar your game. Painted black with cork bottom. These fit Williams 89 and newer. Also, fit newer Sterns. We can make them to fit System 11 and earlier. Specify which game and left side or right side. Available for pickup at Winston Salem auction or our bash on Feb. 18th. Can ship for an additional charge.

Interesting alternative approach, but aren't you either risking damaing the cabinet art or the glass channel with that?

OK, that does it. I has been sitting on the fence long enough. I have ordered pin Gulp holders for my games!!!

Problem is, if you have alot of games, that gets spendy!

My problem with those, is that they appear kinda chintzy.

The PinGulps are cheaper, and the quality is high.

They do appear to have that homemade look to them.

Zero chance of knocking off a PinGulp either.

If you look closely at the pic, you'll note some foam padding on the back to protect the screening or decals.

Not sure about the glass channel.

If you have the games in a line-up it seems like you only need 1 holder for every 2 games. Either you stick your beer in the game you're playing, or you put it in the holder about 12 inches away.

That's what I was thinking. Since it goes on the side you only need one holder for every two pins.
