I'm sure there have been posts about this before as I have seen online people who have hacked "an old machine" into a table but I'm curious if there is a point where the community would say that, providing a machine is so far beyond any resurrection, it might be deemed acceptable to turn it into a table.
What do you guys think?

I got one now, a Williams Disco Fever PF. It was sold as a used PF only, so I could not restore it anyway. Blame the other guy! LOL!!!!!

I have it stripped down to what I am keeping and am deciding if I want to hang it on the wall lit up, or make a coffee table out of it.

The guy spends all this time building a nice LED playfield then mounts it with some shitty 2x4s?

I've seen a few pinball coffee tables. Some looked cool and some didn't. I would tell anyone who chastised you for such an idea to shove it up their ass but that's probably just me.

Yeah, that table is pretty weak. I confess I have a pinball coffee table--a salvaged Stern Galaxy pf, no legs or backbox, not sure if it would even work. I cleaned it up, new rubbers, etc. Put oak siding around it, kept the siderails and lockdown bar, also put in the flipper buttons and plunger. Added a second lockdown bar at the far end. Looks really cool imo, has a definite 'hybrid' feel with the rails/lockdowns, rather than just sticking a pf in a piece of furniture.

I can post a pic if anyone offers a clue on how to do it...

Steven, get a photobucket.com account. (free) Upload your picture into that. And then on the left hand side you will see a list of links having to do with your picture. Select the one for posting to forums (it will have /img on it) and copy and paste it here. Sorry if thats not clear.
