THE OPEN DIVISION is expected to have a 1k payout for 1st place or more based on the payouts the last time this format was utilized.
2nd through 8th gets cash as well. the last time this format was used the payouts were impressive. all entry fees that come in are paid out 100% and there are guarantees for 1st through 4th no matter how many entries are sold.

also an AMATEUR division was added with NO entry fees.

the CLASSICS division gives half of the entry fees to the american cancer society.

* Since all money in is paid out to the winners (and 50% to AM cancer society for classics)there is a 25 cent per play for classics games and 50 cents per play for modern machines for the tournament (just as if it were a location or arcade). this money helps to pay the game owners, helpers and tournament officals for all of the plaques (16 or more), other prizes that are not sponsored, tickets, truck rental, GAS to haul games, paying helpers to pickup and haul games, machine ware and parts that get tore up from extreme tournament play, playfield polish and wax, and other expenses related to having a tournament and providing properly maintained machines. i can assure you, i highly doubt we would break even, but if we do, any extra funds at the break even point from the coin boxes will be added to the prize fund for next year and noted in advance.
