Trying to get 3 pins.. all have been sitting for 20+ years in storage, i'd assume non working.

Black knight
mr ms pacman
Pink panther (backglass missing)

what are they worth? I was going to offer 1K for all 3.

Condition is everything Brett! How are the playfields and back glasses?
Guide value (from older guide)
black knight - 1200
mr ms pac - 725
pink panther - 675
Those are on the higher end for decent, playable games. If they are in good shape I would think $1k is a good offer.

How was the backglass on the black knight? I've seen many with flaking glases. The pink panther might be worth something if the backglass was there. It will be hard finding one and in decent shape. If they have been sitting a while, consider the mpu's to be ate up with acid, unless the batteries were removed(I doubt it). Even though I would love to have a pink panther pin, I personally would spend that $1k towards something else. My .02

Going above $1000 for those 3 together would probably be a mistake if you hope to be able to get yoru money back out of them. Unless they all work and are complete as they sit, but that's doubtful.

I want to keep the black Knight and sell the other 2. I figure at best working the pink panther will be worth more in parts. The Mr and Ms pac looked good, hoping it wont be too bad to fix.

Being that I've bought non-working pins for what I thought was a good price only to find that fixing them was going to cost more than I thought, and dealing with picky buyers, makes $1K seem high if you ask me. If we were talking about working or semi-working/clean pins, that would be different.

Sight unseen storage for 20 years, assume the worse.

Flaking back glass, battery acid damage, raised cabinet grain

Based on the information you have given without knowing anything else the most I would give for them would be 200.00 each $600.00 for all three.

The Pink Panther could bring you some good coin if it had the backglass.

BK2K all depends upon condition. The other two will cost a lot of time and money to get working I guarantee that. It's going to be hard to make money or break even on that deal unless you can get the games for $800 or less. I turned down a working PP that was for sale for $600.

this is the original black knight, it's the only one i want to keep. I was hoping to pickup all 3, fix the other two, and make enough so my black knight was cheap/free. He has lots of other games, but hard to convince him the shit isn't gold, it's almost all non working and sat for years.

I've never seen a Black Knight that wasn't really ragged out. I'd get a good look at all those machines before making an offer.

One problem is each of those three machines uses completely different architecture and parts. One is a WMS System 7, one is a Bally, one is a Gottlieb Sys80, so work on each game will require diving into a completely different set of hardware systems. You can't swap any system boards (or most other parts) in those games to test things. If those games have been sitting for 20 years, I would not expect any of them to work and it's going to be pretty costly (both in time and money) getting them working. If you're up for, it will be an adventure, but it's a lot to bite off if you're just getting into the hobby.

How the hell do you find time for all of this between making brand new arcade cabinets, building brand new shiny-as-shit ms. Pacs for people, working on your own games, now wanting to work on pins..

Didn't you have something to do with the warlords cocktail project too? Christ, lol. Must be nice! I changed out 6 bulbs in my Pinbot tonight, fixed a wireform gate, and that's all I got done. :)

$1K seems high to me as well, especially since they are an unknown. I got no offers in selling my Black KNight, which I think is pretty nice, at $950. I knwo you were going to try to keep that one, so I guess it depends on what that game is worth to you.

Pink Panther seems to bring nothing UNLESS it has a nice backglass. Seems like those are made from unobtainium.

I personally don't like Mr & Mrs Pac Man, but it's a pin and you could probably get $500 or so if working and decent.

Hope it works out for you.

Chris

lol i do not work on my own games, no time for that. A friend of mine on here, Jpopson paints the mspacs. I have no idea what it's like to work on my own games, i never get to!!

its so hard to say unless seen and hands on.
i checked out some pins recently, pinbot, 6 million dollar man, comet, etc.
the phone call said $200 ish each.
i drove 2 hours. all machines were in a damp wet basement, all had nasty mold on the cabinets, glass, playfield...
all metal from brackets, screws, all rusty assemblies, metal, etc..
i wouldnt even take stuff like that for free.
