I want to be sure before hooking this up that the connection is correct cause stuff out on the internet is confusing. The first pictures show that the hookups for the GDrom are pin 1-6
1. +12
2. NC
3. +5
4. NC
5. Gnd
6.Gnd
My question is are the pins backwards (6-1 left to right) on the system? In other words does the +12 start right then goes left? The second picture show the hook ups backwards than what's listed. Just want to be sure I hook this up right. Also have my own picture of how I have it hook up (3rd)
Thanks,
Kane

I can tell you, since I had to swap a GD-ROM out yesterday, that the connector that plugs into the GD-ROM itself has the white (ground) wires on the left. (pin 1)

apparently it's easy to connect this backwards, and if you do, you can fry the circuit board inside the GD-ROM... which effectively means it dies. to further clarify, the red +12V wire is on the right. (pin 6)

so your voltage list is in fact backwards.

er, I just saw you picture. it's plugged in right in the picture. not sure why they have the pins labeled backwards though. lol
