Pin Fight! "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" vs. "Freddy: a Nightmare on Elm Street"
Well, it looks like my vid-to-pin trade is gonna go down (it's about time that cherry was broken), so now I have to decide which pin I should choose to be my first: Frankenstein or Freddy.
ARTWORK: Point goes to Frank for some really nice artwork that doesn't come off quite as cartoony as Freddy.
GAMEPLAY: I have too little experience with both games to choose a long-term winner, although I hear that Frank has the better gameplay.
THEME: Freddy all the way. I'm a "Elm Street" / Freddy fan from waaaaay back, and let's face it...the theme goes a long way.
SOUNDS: Kind of a tie. Love the Robert Englund voice samples and music from the films on the Freddy pin, but Frank let's you choose between two soundtracks during gameplay. One of which is Edgar Winter's ridiculously awesome "Frankenstein".
EFFECTS: Both games have some great effects on the playfield and DMD...although, the frank has that big-ass DMD that's really cool. (But then again, should it need to be replaced, major dough will be required.)
CONDITION: Both pins are in really good condition, but the Freddy has recently been shopped while the Frank needs to be.
