Pin #3 in the House: Jurassic Park!

Creetch? I am guessing that is Creature from the black lagoon.

Demolition man is lots of fun, my friend has that and LOTR. DM is great and it is a wide body. Underrated pin.

Just wanted to bump this thread with this. I picked up a Jurassic Park for cheap back in May. It didn't work and hadn't been touched on the inside for over 20 years since the owners didn't have a key for it. It was originally from an arcade in France!

I rebuilt the PSU board, cleaned up the playfield, replaces the rubbers, and installed a Comet Pinball LED kit. Looks and runs great now. I need to repaint the lock down bar and the rails. I got a cool mosquito in amber to put on the top of the head, and I am going to 3D print a topper for it incorporating the amber and a barbasol canister.

As I got it:

Edgar playing it! You can see the mosquito in amber on top. The flasher light it up.

Crazy to see your son playing your Jurassic Park today, and knowing my son last played mine 13 years ago! He is now 16 and I would love to find another Jurassic Park or TMNT for him to play. To be honest, I think the next TMNT that pops up I'm gonna grab for him. I feel like I wasted his childhood by not having any pinball machines since 2015 (when he was 6!). I remember him wanting me to get those two pins back so badly. I always figured I would, but here we are 13 years later and it just never happened.

It's crazy how time flies, and your kids are all grown up before you know it! Today is Hugo's 16th birthday! My daughter is 21!

Get as much fun in with them as you can as they will be off on their own!

As much as I do sit and ponder this and sometimes feel regret, I also realize that if I'd kept those pins, he probably would've been sick of playing them 10 years ago. He's also told me multiple times that he doesn't really care about arcade games, but if I had a pool table, he'd be in the game room every day. As many times as I've wanted to buy one just to appease him, I realize it will never fit, they're heavy as hell, and when you do have one and try to sell it, there is never a buyer. I know there have are a few games over the years (like TMNT, JP and even my DK cabaret) that he was very fond of and was angry when I sold. I always thought I would get those games back for him at some point, but childhood time just goes by too quickly and my adult reaction time is slow. I feel if I try to grab them now, not only will I paid 5 to 10 times what I sold them for, but they will probably only pique his interest for a week or two, and then I'd be back to where I started, owning games that I'll just turn around and have to sell again. Wish there was some way to get him involved again tho. Feel like I'm losing him already.

I stripped the paint off the lock down bar and treated the rust, I'm used to SS lock down bars on my pins and I was curious what's JP would look like with SS.

I might just polish the steel and clear coat it. IDK yet

I painted the lock down bar, it came out great. I'm annoyed that the rail is chipped and rusty, I but I have to take the head off to take the rails off.

So which do I do? Treat the spot or pull the rails?
