I know, I know - find a better monitor. And I might have to do so as I need this running by tomorrow.

But - I rebuilt a Matsushita TM-202G and got a picture, but it was all wavy and shit. I didn't want to spend a bunch of time trying to figure out what the issue was, and I had another chassis that had been rebuilt but had a bad flyback (lightning shot out when powered up). So - I pulled the flyback from funky chassis and put it on lightning chassis. Now lightning chassis is doing the same thing.

So - either they both have the same problem, or the flyback is the cause. I tried another iso just in case, but it didn't change anything.

Interestingly, I don't see any problems with the plain white raster if the video input signal isn't connected, but I've tried various game board and all do the same thing.

Here's a video:

Just to verify everything, I tried the chassis on another tube and get the same thing, so it's not the tube or yoke.

Wish I could find another TM-202G chassis to pull another flyback from...

Looks like it might not be a monitor problem (although I still have an issue as the chassis that had the blown flyback that I swapped the good flyback to will not focus, so it may need to have the focus block swapped too).

I pulled a working 4900 and put it on the bench, and it did the same thing. So, I either have an interference issue, or my bench switcher is going bad...

Man you have a killer setup! I wish I had the means like that to troubleshoot these darn pesky monitors.
I have the Matsoshite-a chassis in my Pole Position  Talk about 2 peas in a pod... Thing is, this is the second game I bought many many years ago and while I have had my troubles with the PP/PP2 boards, the Matsoshite-a has been bulletproof ..knock on wood..

Hope you come to a conclusion quickly.

Haw - Loved the name at least - Piecoshita indeed! Thanks for the laugh.

I think my grandmother had one of those as a TV before she passed away, and it worked great. It must have been before the line went totally cheese-whiz.
