Pictures of Tempest SN #001

Very cool Scott!

It's really interesting to see a stage of the design phase of something we all know so well.

Awesome! You should buy some tempest sideart from arcadeshop and slap it on :)

Jon

Definitely needs an inkjet repro'd cpo too to add some color back to the machine. :)

Noticed the Super Centi/Missle Command 2 pictures too. Very, very, very nice.

Atariscott. I gotta ask what is your background? How did you get such an inside advantage to all these treasures? Just curious.

Noticed the Super Centi/Missle Command 2 pictures too. Very, very, very nice.

Does that cab really play Missile Command 2? The MC2 instructions on the cab suggests that it plays in the same way of original MC. I though that in the MC2 (proto) there was only 1 fire button and you had the option to take out your opponent's cities.

Nice pics of the Tempest proto - Thanks.

Worthless! You should convert it to Arkanoid! LOL! j/k you guys.

I've seen that game in person, its kinda neat.

...

Phetishboy, the pix show a 6100.

Actually finding Tempest # 000001 is super awesome. Think about the history that particular machine made.

Not that I'm doubting AS in any way, but how is there any way to authenticate that so that its validity cannot be questioned in years to come? Is there any type of shipping doc or manifest that validates the serial number?

Again, not looking to discredit AS in any way at all.

videos!

Lets see some videos of the game play on Missile Command 2! Turn that sucker on!

And to think I once passed on a tempest that looked alot like that! completely black control panel, lack of sideart........Sheesh, Maybe I gave up #002 :(

Nice photos! That Atari 4x4 is nice too! Thank you for sharing!
