Well after about a month of my Street Fighter 2 on hold, I finaly ordered a NOS Capcom overlay from Prairied1ll0 and I must say its really great and was a snap to install, I would like for it to have been a little more sticky but it is a great product and looks really nice and is really tough material. Here are the pics, let me know what you think, hopefully I can get a monitor this week and it will be fully finished

My overlay is completely different from that one, could it be because it is a CE?

Its just a newer control panel overlay, its a generic capcom overlay for a bunch of games, I used it in case I ever switched to a CPS2 Street Fighter or something like that. Its matches the Street Fighter 2 World Warrior ok

Heres a pic of it mounted in cab, is still gotta make a black board to go around monitor and wire it up and get another monitor, originally i was just going to use a pc crt but i changed my mind and im going to put a real arcade monitor in it

Looks good. I need a capcom overlay for my puzzle fighter. I should order one!

Should the dust discs on the sticks be under the control panel?

I seen games with them on top and some underneath, I put then on top to hid the poor job I did drilling the hole and cutting the overlay out

On top is much more common, I think most ops just put the dust covers on top to cover up their poor cutting as well...

The possibility exists that they forgot the dust covers when they were bolting the joysticks on as well. It is easier to slide the dust cover over the joystick than to unbolt the housing.

Yes especially when the bolt holes dont line up just right with the joysticks, they was a bitch to get on but it looks great now

I also prefer the dust covers on top though I will place them underneath for some game.

Hey kjeffery did you apply the CPO using the clamp and heat gun method? If not the CPO will start to come up on the sharp bends of the CP.

I just heated it up with a torch and layed it on and smoothed it out, the sharpest bend I have is were it buts up against the plexi and its coming up there but I superglued it because you cant see it really when the control panel is mounted because that piece is slammed against the plexi glass that covers the monitor.
