I'm 99% done with my Tron restoration. This was a working game that I bought from Lloyd a few years ago and plopped right into my arcade. Right after buying it, I picked up a complete set of Phoenix Arcade art. Earlier this Summer, I brought the machine out, ripped it apart, and restored it. I used laminate for sides and front, had all metal powdercoated, sprayed the inner walls black, applied new art, recapped the monitor, and rejuvinated the monitor. I even media blasted the metal grates that are used for ventilation on the rear doors. The machine turned out beautifully! I'm waiting on the free play chip and kickplate that should be here this week. I'm also waiting on This Old Game to have the Medallion for the coin door. I think that it turned out beautifully! Here's a couple pics:

Next up is putting the final touches on my Granny & The Gators that has been an on again - off again project for the last couple years. Then I'm thinking that it might be time to tackle my Berzerk.

Three pictures? Shame on you! A restoration like this requires at least 20...

I have reported you to the moderators.

Wonderful looking game! Congrats on doing a great job. I hope one day when I restore my Tron I can get it to turn out like yours. Yeah, give us more pics

Thanks guys. I'll try to get more pics when its done.

Looks like a beaut, like the rest of the rooms contents.

Im just glad youre back in it again.

Thanks Mike. I have 2 machines left in my arcade that need restorations and another that I need to put together. I'll take my time. I wouldn't call myself "Back in It." More like killing an hour every other week out of boredom. I'm waiting to get my Vidiot Deluxe back from repair and The Ganny & The Gators will be finished. I sold a bunch of machines from my arcade, so I have room. I need to put a Popeye together. I'm also waiting on the final piece for my arcade. I'm hoping to have it for our Holloween party - A MAME Video Touchscreen Jukebox. A friend gave me a video projector. I picked up a 96" screen, 15" touchscreen computer monitor, and 800+ DJ quality 80's music videos on DVD's. The same friend is setting it up for me. It will play all of the videos plus all of my regular music (I have 300+ CD's) without video. I can't wait for that!

My favorite line from your post! That's the kind of thing I'd do but then be worried I went overboard, feel self conscious, so I'd never mention it :)

Nicely done, but we're gonna need a lot more pics.

I always paint the back grates and speaker grates if they need them. Makes them look so nice.

You've been gone for 2 years already?

Looks very nice!! I loves me some restored Tron action. Might be the last game I buy, or the last game I restore.
