pics of games you wish you didnt sell

Thats the problem with some games you don't realize how rare they where until there gone. Not like they have to even be a rare game they might be common but rare in the area you live. Like my Contra its not a rare game just rare to find where I live have only seen one for sale since buying mine years ago near me.

I have only sold one full sized game and had a duplicate so nothing to miss really. Was a red Neo Geo.

The flash drive I had the old arcade pictures on got erased, but I miss my Captain America and the Avengers,Double Dragon, and NHL Open Ice.All of them were in beautiful shape.

What game is this? I like the side art.

dedicated mystic marathon serial number 3.. Very rare. Probably just samples made/sent to distributors. Robotron style cabinet with a glass monitor bezel.

Where do I even begin? I really miss the pins. The Black Knight 2000 was not in very good shape. The cabinet was pretty ragged looking, which is why I got rid of it. I got rid of the Tommy and Cyclone because I was stupid. I sure wish I could afford a pin. I got rid of the Gorf because I was greedy. Got almost $1K for it.

The DK Jr. was a restoration project I did from a Vs. converted DK. I got some big time help from a friend and a paint sprayer. It turned out wonderfully, however, I was broke shortly afterward and sold it. The Relief Pitcher was just a fun game to have, even though I don't care about sports much. Again, I needed cash. I don't recall why I got rid of the Rampage, but it was awkward to move, that could have been the reason. I got the SI as a non-working freebie. Never did get it going. It had a monitor problem and I didn't want to mess with the BW monitor. The Stargate was minty. Really loved that one. Greed got to me, paid $250 for it, sold it for $750.

The Major Havoc and Space Duel are the same cabinet. I got it as a MH and later got SD parts to swap out when I wanted to change games. Should have kept it but needed cash. Traded the Tron for DK because the cabinet bottom was in bad shape and it had the wrong joystick. I sold the DK because I was frustrated with the 3rd elevator stage (which I managed to clear once). I got bored with the Dig Dug because it took too long for me to play a game and sold that too.

So, 14 games that I wish I had kept in 10 years of collecting. Is that good or bad? All I know is that if I still had them all plus my current collection, my wife would kill me.

Edit: I somehow managed to forget the game that started it all. A Final Fight in a Phoenix cab that I reconverted. The problem was there was no side art available at the time or I would probably still have it. Side art was released shortly after I sold the machine. D'oh! So, that makes 15 bad moves in 10 years. However, there are several games that I have sold that I do not regret, probably more than 15.

What games do I regret selling.....ALL OF THEM. But I think my last purge will haunt me for a while. All games I had reason to get rid of, but good monitors and fun to boot. Luckily, they were all Dynamo HS-cabs and I can always find more. But I do miss my first two games that were grails when I picked them up. Rastan and Ninja Gaiden. NG was pretty nice, and rastan was a Ms. Pac or pac conversion. Still, they were my first two. But in reality, I have a much nicer collection now and I have kept almost all of my important pieces.

if you sold it and are like me keep the pics of fallen soldier's, let's see'em. here's just a couple. the pin not the PC. still got the pc

here are the ones i miss selling. i do have another mario now, but the first one i had was in better shape than my present one... i especially want tempest back, badly.

I had a beautiful Capcom Airborne that I sold. I've regretted selling it since the day it left. It was absolutely perfect in every sense of the word, a beautiful example of the game.

This is an actual picture of my game, back when I was obsessed with masking out the backgrounds on all of the pictures I took...

I also regretted selling my Capcom Breakshot. I did a masterful shop job on this one. A bit of trivia for you: It was featured in Marco Rossignoli's Pinball Memories Book. Yes, I took over 400 pictures (on 35mm FILM), of which Marco found a handful that he liked and published. One of the girls from the game was featured on the cover of the book, on the spine above the title.

I missed it a lot. Especially so when I found the pictures of it in the Pinburgh 2004 Flood. I sold it to Pinburgh, figured that'd be a nice life for it to live. Played a bit every year, climate controlled storage for the rest of the year.

So I bought another. Still haven't shopped it, but I will one day. And it will be as nice as its predecessor.

This one was so huge it almost wouldn't fit in the room but it was damn fun and I miss it badly.

There were others:
Ms Pac
Nintendo VS
Pole Position UR and PPII CP
Night Driver

Wish I hadn't sold it, only because I know I'll probably never find another one.

But the good news is that it went to a KLOVer and, though I didn't make it to CAX last year, it did.

I miss pretty much all of these as well as my BK2K which I don't think I have a picture of somehow.

I miss my old armor attack. Sister ran into it with her car.
I think I still saved the old montior that use to sit on top of the game.
It was a way that your buddies can watch you play.

Please post pictures of this monitor if you can!

Every time someone's rumored to be in possession of one of these, whoever has it disappears...
