Here are a couple of teaser shots from the Houston Show. I don't know what the final machine count is, but it is amazing:

Some vectors (Major Havok, Gravitar, Black Widow, Quantum)

Some Pins (there is another row just as big on the other side):

More Pins (including a couple of NIB):

And for those that wanted to see what it looks like, the Wall 'o Williams:

More pics tomorrow.

If you are in Houston, you need to be here tomorrow!

There were so many games plugged in we fried the main breaker to the ballroom, twice. Not just tripped it, fried it, as in smoke and nasty fried circuit breaker smell!!! The electricians ran two new 200 AMP circuits just to make sure we didn't do it a third time.

Man, this year's setup looks pretty sweet! I can't wait to go there today... my 3 favorite games are there this year: Moon Patrol, Gravitar, and Major Havoc!

Today's your lucky day then. All three are for sale (I'll give you a hint which one is affordable: its initials are ... Moon Patrol :D).

What is the price tag on the Major Havoc?

Don't know, but if you have to ask..... :D

Actually, I don't know what he is asking for it. It is in great shape. Plays perfectly (I played it a couple of times today). Although, I would probably buy the Gravitar, the Quantum or the Black Widow over the MH. I thought those games were more fun (especially Quantum and Black Widow).

Contact Callen. His contact info is on his website: http://www.vidpin.com/contact.asp

Edit: I'll post more pictures over the next couple of days. I probably have about 80 or 90 pictures from both days (gotta love digital). I need to though them and pick out the better ones. There is something very cool about getting pictures of Bobba Fett and StormTroopers playing your video games :) (the 501st Legion invaded the show this afternoon).

Thanks for taking the time to talk about your experiences over at Williams, Ken. They were very entertaining. Definitely one of the highlights of the show.

Would you happen to know if the arcade repair workshop was held after all?

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was fun for me too. I enjoyed rehashin some of the "back in the day" memories.

The workshops were held, but very late. Callen said he did his after 4, which was too late for me. I got paged and had to bail to fix some work related issues just before 4.

They finally gave up on using a hotel room and just set up a table over by the vendors end of the second ballroom right next to the Rottendog booth.

For the StarWars Geeks, I mean fans!

The 501st Legion, also known as "Vader's Hammer" made their second annual appearance, very much to the delight of the crowd. They did an awesome job of intimidating the unwary and posing for pictures and generally creating a unique atmosphere. Along with Keith's masterful sound system blaring out StarWars music clips at 101 decibels...

The pics are a little blurry. I try to shoot using natural light so the flash doesn't glare or wash out the lighting on the games. The downside is that soetimes they end up blurry, especially when I get bumped while taking the picture.
