*pics*: 1952 Seeburg M100C and new owner questions!

I recently got my first (and likely final) jukebox, a 1952 Seeburg M100C. Is in fantastic cosmetic shape. . had a bunch of restoration work done on it previously.

I ordered a new Pickering Redhead needle from jukeboxusa.com. . .hopefully it's good. I've heard that they have the better ones, and I've heard that there are a bunch of low output/non-ferrous needles out there. One person recommended to me that I convert it to a more available needles. Opinions?

It also has some problems switching records sometimes. I need to start reading the manual to see what I can learn. Any other resources that I should know about?

Thanks!
Gary

Hello Gary,

You should purchase the two guide books that Ron Rich has written about Seeburgs.
He is a forum moderator like myself on www.phonoland.com He is the best person to ask about issues with Seeburg's.

Read your manual fully and get to know the terminolgy before asking questions, I would olso ask the questions before diving in with adjustments on your jukebox, which by the way looks very good.

I love it so far! Sounds really really great for mono 50's stuff. Sounds less great than I expected for wider range stuff. I guess that really narrows down what I'm going to put into it, and makes me want to get a more modern one too to go alongside it, or possible stick with a stereo for the newer stuff.
