Pickup : 1 Abomination , 1 Fixation and 1 Appreciation

So NewSherrifInTown and I went back to our little honey hole. I picked up some interesting conversions and an original dedicated.

1: First the Abomination:

An IRobot converted to a Street Fighter! Look at that awesome control panel and that wonderful black paint over the original artwork :

The game is playing but the monitor has vertical collapse.

2: Second the Fixation:

A Mario Widebody that was converted to a Ninja Gaiden. This one will be "Fixed", ie restored to a Mario Widebody:

The game is working just fine. And the bezel is flipped, so it might be perfect. We'll see.

3: The Appreciation:

A complete and original Space Invaders. Condition is fair. Don't know if it is working as the fuse blows immediately. I will rebuild the power supply and cap the monitor and see.

I got these 3 games, a box of diodes/ axial caps/ transistors/ resistors, 3 NIB 19" crt's, a NIB 25" crt, a pallet of 7 pinball glasses and around 25 used 19" monitors for $350

Save the I, Robot!

It seems to me I've heard rumors of an FPGA PCB replacement being in the works, but regardless I'm willing to bet SOMEBODY will come up with something eventually, the game is simply too cool and too rare to be ignored.

I'll try, but it looks like the control panel hack kind of hurt it pretty bad :(

But there was some of the bezel art left :

And the back door page is still there:

That SI looks sweet. Is the bezel glass? Looks to be in really good shape.

Get the multi kit and it's a keeper for sure.

:D

And she lives!

Had to shotgun the power supply, cap the monitor, replace the light bulb, and change a tantalum cap on the game pcb that was causing the 12v fuse to blow.

I'm missing the fire sound but I have a Lm3900 on the way to fix that.
