Due to weather and other circumstances (my sis-in-law wrecked the truck I was going to use on Friday), I didn't get to go until yesterday.
This was a biggie - 6 games. I only had a few bad pics and very basic info to go on. Here is a summary of the games.
Mortal Kombat II: Not working. I tried to fire it up and there is no juice getting to anything. This might be an easy fix, but I have to drill the lock first. The cabinet is a 19" Dynamo. It is interesting though because the boards are all on a piece of wood that slides out of the control panel hole. I've never seen a cab like this...but I like it!
Operation Wolf: Not working. I hear the monitor degauss fire and the marquee lights up. That is all the life it shows. No playing blind and no monitor glow. I haven't dug farther.
Skins Game: Supposed to be 100% dead, but it plays blind and the monitor is screwed up.
World Rally: Works. It appears all the art from pigskin is intact underneath except for the marquee. I haven't looked inside yet though. The CP will have extra holes unfortunately.
Primal Rage: Looks good, plays good...just good. I believe it is a converted Simpsons cab. This will be going to a local guy and he will be Mame-ing the cabinet. If you want a Primal Rage kit, make me a private offer. It will officially be going up for sale later.
Make Trax: Seller says it worked, but the monitor was scrambled when I showed up. It plays blind though, and you can see that the video signal is there on the monitor. I'll have a separate thread for that. It is all original except for the power cord. The black areas have recently be repainted too, so it looks pretty darn sharp.
As for the pickup, I thought long and hard about how to haul. I was fully set on using my Escape and a big trailer. I even installed an extra tranny cooler on Tuesday in prep. After thinking it over though, I bit the bullet and rented a 16' hydraulic lift gate truck. Damn that turned out to be a great idea!!! Wade used the same truck to move his Initial D. It was expensive, but the load/unload was outrageously easy and uncomplicated. Oh, almost forgot - these games were 2 hours away.
Special thanks to Wade and Jimmy. They came over and helped unload. We had a great time shooting the bull, playing a few games, and taking our sweet time unloading since it was so NOT labor intensive. Wade also drove over in his sweet RX-7, which was nice to finally see out and about instead of collecting dust and leaves.
I was going to take pics of the process, but I forgot. You'll have to settle for the after pics. As you can see, my gameroom is absolutely packed. Wade and Jimmy didn't believe me when I said they'd all fit. HAH!!! If only they all worked, I would have an entire arcade.
Of special note is the control panel closeup of Operation Wolf. Jimmy deemed soldier boy "Major Teabag".
