Picked up two free cabs and saw arcade heaven in a warehouse this weekend

This collection is in Lawton, Oklahoma. From what I know its 4 guys with over 200 machines. They are in the process of restoring all these and plan to have a private arcade with special events open to the public at some-point.

Those guys better have a shitload of money to take on a task like this. We all know how much one game can cost to restore/repair, let alone 200 of 'em

Or did you mean "restored" for something else?
It should be pretty obvious since the owners were "in the process of restoring" the games. From the photos they look to be well on their way to completing this task. For instance, look at that photo of the section of restored games they roped off from the others.

Yeah, for all you doubters out there.....
I happen to know these fellas, the new building which will house the collection is in the process of being built. I'd say 95% of the machines in those pictures are 100% working, a few need some TLC and such to finish them off, but their main concern at the moment is aquiring as many titles as possible. For every ONE you see in the pics, they have probably sold off three duplicates in order to just get the machines on their list.
I personally worked on the Sinistar cockpit seen in the pics, had a blast doing so as well.
This project has been in the works since the day the other building burned down.

How come no one has mentioned the guy standing on the Nintendo cab T molding with the pcb right under his foot? I sure hope he is not one of the 4 wanting to restore these machines....

ok i was in mesquite for the sa on the 14th.....and there was a nice guantlet that sold!

and they must have bought it!

Sunday, August 15, 2010New Arrival...
The entire crew was out and about this weekend. Derry made his debut appearance in Texas and brought home an Atari Gauntlet.

The legendary 4 player icon from 1985 features aside from the ability to have up to four players at once, featured a custom speech chip. The narrator would frequently make statements repeating the game's rules, including: "Shots do not hurt other players," "Remember, don't shoot food!" and "Warrior needs food — badly!" Another classic Atari game finds a new home in whats going to be the greatest arcade in Oklahoma.

Lawton.. Game not over!

Those guys have a great blog. It is worth a look. I wish them the best of luck, and I have faith that the games will not rot. It sounds to me like they are recent acquisitions. They will be restored and shared with all.

Game not over!

What is this game?

I also posted about that yesterday..

Yeah, sorry, I didn't even see that you had posted that.
I just immediately recognized it from when they first got it and had done some research on it myself. I was the one that had pointed Rotheblog in their direction to gather more info on it since they had only some cocktail versions noted.

And yes, the ghosts do look like.....
