Picked up a pacland today for $75, the guy wanted $100 and said the game worked but the monitor was dim and he didn't know anything about them. Got home plugged it in and made a few adjustments on the monitor and the monitor seems fine and the game works:) Not an orginal pacland cabinet but I think it is a namco cabinet, sides are white with 2 black lines tracing the cabinet on both sides, think that is namco. It does have the pacland marquee, cabinet needs a bit of structural work. For that price was it a good find? Also is there a reproduction of pacland side art and CPO?

How can one go wrong on a $75 game. Nearly any working game should provide at least that much amusement to you if its worth the time to fetch in the first place.

Thats what I thought also, for $75 I couldn't go wrong. Even if they monitor was dead and unrepairable I have a few spare monitors in my garage. Is the artwork for pac land hard to come by?

You can't go too wrong with a working $75 game. I haven't seen a working Pac-Land since it came out.

$75 for just about any working game = win. The working monitor alone is worth the $75.

The only time I pass on a working $75 cab is if I have no room and the $75 cab in question is beat.

The boardset is worth that alone!

I would love to find me a dedicated Pac-land.... seems they gone the way of the dinosaurs the last couple of years... Many good times playing one at Alladdin's Castle.

That's what I figured, the board alone would be worth that price.. Here are a few pics of the cabinet. The cabinet needs a bit of tlc which is no big deal. Don't know why the control panel has a joystick since pacland used buttons only, I haven't had a chance to try and play it yet. Just wondering if anyone might know what make of cabinet this is, I was thinking maybe namco but not sure or is it just a generic cabinet. On a side note my baby pac is from Alladdin's Castle, it has a metal tag riveted on the cabinet saying Allddin's Castle.

Thats some sort of bootleg marquee too. Not sure why they put super pac on a pacland marquee.
You got a good deal either way, that boardset sells for $100+. The cabinet looks alot like the Taitos, might make a good multi-taito cab.

Thought the marquee looked a bit odd. Just looked at the pcb and it looks to be the real deal and not a bootleg, I searched for the picture of the pacland pcb and it looks like those I found online which are not bootlegs. I was thinking of making it a multi cab or maybe painting it yellow and get the real pacland marquee and leaving it as pacland. It will be a project for me to work on:) By the way Riptor, just went to your website and it is very nice, I have added it to my favourites list for when I am looking for parts for my games.
