This is a long one, sorry.
My neighborhood has bi-annual garage sale. I usually unload extra crap, but never have put any of my games out for sale. Today was the garage sale day, and I decided to wheel the two games I have for sale (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=249949) out to the street. About an hour later (9:00am) a lawn mowing crew pulls up. I joke with my neighbors, "here it goes, I am selling a game". Well, what do you know, $250 in my hand, and they rolled out with Namco Classics on their trailer next to the mowers and weed eaters. Right after that some guy walks up, and says "everybody is selling arcade games today".
I say, "what are you talking about?". He tells me that a guy right down my street is selling two games. I hop on my skateboard, and fly downstreet. They were sitting there waiting for a guy like me to resue them.
The guy got them for free from his sons daycare. The daycare had 10-15 arcade games. They, for some reason or another, decided to get rid of the gameroom. The guy picked them up from the daycare director, and had been sitting on them for the past 10 months. I asked him, "how much?". He say, "$50". I fly back to my house, and 10 minutes later.
One of the games on my grail list...ISOF
I am bringing this game to sell at the HAAG Expo.
Sorry this picture is so shitty. Photobucket on my iPhone isn't working, so I had to take this picture with the iPad.
