Picked up my first pin today. A 1978 Solid state Hot Tip. Minor playfield wear in certain spots, and could use a waxing, and one of the score displays might have to be replaced, but all in all a pretty solid game. After reading through the manual a little bit I truly can see how keeping these games running properly can be difficult, but rewarding at the same time. Below I've included a pic of what I believe to be the serial number. If someone can confirm this, or tell me where on the machine I could find the serial number it would be greatly appreciated. I like to put serial numbers in my VAPS.

Thanks
Tim

Your title should read "Picked up the first of many pins today" in order to be accurate :)

Like Lays potato chips, nobody can have just one! LOL

Congrats, and as jbk said, the serial number should be stampen on the backbox (back or right side) or likely near the coin door on the front of the cabinet.
