Picked up my first Atari!

Here's my current lineup.

Midway - Ms Pac/Arcadeshop multi
Williams - Robotron/JROK
Nintendo - Mario Bros WB
Sega - Golden Axe RODA
Taito - Operation Thunderbolt
Capcom - HS5 - May convert it to AvP
Capcom - HS2 - SF2 WW
SNK - Neo Geo MVS 4-25v3
Taito - Double Dragon

On my Radar to bring in.
Sega - Virtua Fighter - will change to Sega STV.
Taito - 2nd Double Dragon machine for Cadash
Konami 4P cab

I used to want to get a Gauntlet 2 but then I decided that it would get very little replay so now I just want Tempest someday! I gots to get me a Vector!
 
congrats jess on the championship sprint!

thats a great addition to your cade and its way easier to manage then the big ole' 3player super sprint. great score man. it should clean up nicely.

Thanks Chris! Yeah, it's playing great and I'm enjoying every minute I get.

I also remember playing Ivan Stewart's Super Off Road a lot. Love these bird's eye drivers.
 
There is something just great about the way those games play (I have the Super Sprint 3 player version). Last year had a great time working up a sweat on the Sprint 8 at CAX. My 2 sons (age 11 & 9) have had great sessions that lasted 2+ hours!!

Gas pedal, spin, DRIFT !!!
 
Nice pick up. Now see how far you can get without continuing.
 
Jeff, the trick for the screwed up scoring on APB is to let your police car on the train tracks..... *Once* in awhile the train will plow into your car and carry you into the landscape causing the goofy scoring. It's more of a glitch, because most of the time, your car just explodes....

Never heard up the crazy scoring on Championship Sprint. I do know as well the ones on 720 and Paperboy....

Yup! I'm also realizing that it definitely rounds out my game room a bit more. Just waiting for my new marquee and need to service the monitor.

I was playing a little last night with my 1-year old daughter in my arm and she was just giggling as I was spinning the steering wheel. It was great.

Ahh awesome... that's kind of what I thought it was, but I was never able to do it. The one on 720 has something to do with the half-pipe, right? For some reason I'm thinking the one on Championship Sprint has to do with the one track that has the shortcut in the center of the screen... (ya know... it's the part where the wrench sometimes shows up). I seem to remember someone telling me something about that back in the 80's when the game came out, but that's the only info I have about it. I know it can be done because my game has a first place score in the billions... similar to the other System 2 games, where the score runs all the way over into the ranking.

I always thought there was a glitch in there.... I remember there was a 720 brand new at Aladdin's Castle. Someone on there had a score in the 900k range!:eek:

Anybody know the Championship Sprint scoring glitch?

Yeah... I know about that no bees glitch, but what I'm talking about on 720 has something to do with the Half Pipe and where you can accidentally land if you go off the pipe. Your score jumps into the billions just like the other System 2 games. I always called it a trick rather than a glitch because similar scoring happens on all of the System 2 games.

Your marquee looks great! I just recently replaced mine on my Road blasters with a NOS and it looked just like yours all melted but what a huge difference huh?Looks like it's going to be a battle in the bay for a 720 it's on my list too:)
