Picked up an Escape from the planet of the robot monsters for $100

Picked up an Escape from the planet pf the robot monsters for $100 today, it works but is a conversion and it in a track and field cabinet. It needs some cleaning up and paint job because it has been sitting in a barn with about 130 others games which are all being sold for $100. I think I got a good deal just thought I would see what others think.

Thats a good deal. The joysitcks alone are worth more than you paid.

I think most people would be interested in what the other 130 games were. So post what you saw and any pics..

If there is anyting else you wanted out of there, I would suggest you get it quickly.. I am sure a few people are now search BC area listings of games for sale..

I was very happy when I came across escape from the planet of the robot monsters I have been wanting it for sometime and I think the track n field cabinet it is in looks cool, I also picked up a neo geo for $100 which isn't working so I need to get it up and running and a I also picked up a bally mpu 133 board with no corrosion for $10 to replace the one in my granny and the gators.:) . I didn't really see anything else that interested me to much that I want to buy it, but there was parts, monitors, and artwork for sale also.I don't have pictures but some of the games I remember seeing are spyhunter, nba basketball game, sunset riders, hard drivin, vindicators, snow bros( at least 2 of them) , neo geo machines, downtown, hat trick, hit the ice ( I think there were 2) , kung fu master, pit fighter, st. dragon, lots of street fighters, gureilla wars, combat tribes (I think), blades of steel, video poker games and sprint 2 . That's all the games I remember seeing right now but if more pop into my head I will post them. The games have been posted since the end of november on craigslist, I just came across the posting last week and apparently there were about 150 games to start with so since I came across the add about a month after it was posted I think the real big name games were snatched up early. According to the seller lots of the games don't work or partial work and there are some that do work, I think they have been in the barn for sometime because they are very dirty and some have bird poop on them and also the barn is not heated.

Nice pickup. Would also like to see some pics of the place.
Also... Would you happen to have a link to the craigslist ad? :D
Would love to get that Spy Hunter.

Sorry I didn't take a camera with me so I have no pictures of the place. It's in abbotsford and here is the link I hope it works, if not go to fraservalley craigslist and you will see an add for video games for $100 and is dated november 28th. The guys number is there so you can give him a call and there are a few pics on the add. Here is the link. http://abbotsford.en.craigslist.ca/tag/2724858443.html If you go make sure you bring a flashlight because there is no lights in the barn and a dolly to move the games and a helper if you can becuase he won't help load the games so I had to load them both myself. If you have any other questions let me know:)

omega race cockpit...

Looks like he converted a bunch of games. hard to tell, but it looks like a front line or zoo keeper cabinet in one of those pics...

Omega Race cockpit....mmmmmm

I wouldn't mind have another snow bros, especially if its complete and working. How far is this place from Vancouver?

I can make out a Turbo, and an Omega Race upright that has been converted to something...

Thanks dyno! Hopefully that Spy Hunter is still there...

And to Avidgeek: Abbotsford is about an hour away from Vancouver.

No problem Muffindude:) Some other games I recall seeing where an outrun, some sit down cabinets but not sure of the games, and also there was an afterburner. There definitley were lots of games which weren't in original cabinets but conversions.

130 games are left to rot in a barn, and the only game powered up in the ad is a Pole Position? That's got to be the most reliable Pole Position ever built.

Where/how the hell do you people find these places?!? I'd consider trading a nut for a place selling 130 games for $100 each. (...provided they work of course. ;-)

Love that game - I just picked up a dedicated Escape locally and am doing a joystick rebuild on it currently.
