The ad said it had a blown fuse... but it was only $100 so...
I got the game home. It's dirty, but I'm cleaning it up now.
The cabinet looks to be from a Centuri game and from the looks of the CP and the bezel/surround behind the monitor that was painted black, it looks to be from a Route 16.
The cabinet was originally wood grain on the sides, but it's been painted over with a textured black spray paint. That's coming off easily with a scraper though.
I don't know if the spinners are supposed to be the Atari Tempest type, but they're not. They're not like any spinner I've seen on a game like this, in fact. They just look like enclosed pots of some kind and they have no weight to them so they don't spin freely...
But the good news is that the game works! I plugged it in and and flipped the switch on top and it fired right up. I'm guessing the guy didn't realize there was a switch. That's the second time I've picked up a game for cheap under those circumstances!
The monitor needs a cap kit. It looks great but has a slight curl to it.
I'm thinking that I may transfer the PCB and controls to an old Ataxx cabinet I have to get it inside more quickly, as it seems like it'll be a fun game. Then I can use this cabinet for something else... Maybe my Choplifter that's looking for somewhere to go...
Here are some pics though...
