Got this a Pinfest in Allentown, PA today. Some quick shots. This will be going to my father-in-law's house.

Works great and is in nice shape, think we got a good deal.

Chris

I have one and love it congrats on your pickup! Common failures on that game are:
1.) Wire on goalie leaf switch will get broke off
2.) Goalie ball trough gets dented to hell and won;t allow balls to flow through
3.) Goalie VUK coil sleeve gets worn/dirty and will drag causing VUK to not be able to kick ball up to the return rail.
4.) Goalie ball trough OPTO's will fail or the wire will get broken
5.) Ball trough under apron will have OPTO issues

On a separate note:
I would highly recommend buying Cliffy protectors since you'll probably tear it down to rerubber it. That game flat out SUCKS to rerubber so why you're at it install Cliffy protectors and stop the saucer wear from getting any worse.

A great game in great condition. A beautiful thing.

Indeed! :)

congratulations, one of the best games ever made !

Thanks. I always liked this title. I almost hate to deliver it to my father in law, LOL.

Thank you for the information. The rubbrs are all new, but I will insure to check into the things you mentioned. I am finding this to be an amazing machine. It is in quite good shape, and I think we got an amazing deal. If my father in law decides it's not for him (which I don't expect), it will certainly have a welcome spot in my lineup.

Great game!!!

Just played one... On location!
I'm in Omaha visiting friends and went to a club last night that had a few pins.. AF, LOTR, and a WCS94.. We played a few games on each, but the WCS94 was the only game that worked 100%.. ended up playing the hell out of it.. GOAL! I'd love one of these..

I played it before I picked this one up and remembered liking it, but I REALLY enjoy it now. I wish it was at my house (it's at my In-Laws) but that's okay, it gives me a great reason to go to the IN-Laws house!!! (We go every Sunday for dinner, they are really nice actually).

Look around, maybe you can find a deal. Not sure what these normaly go for, but the one we picked up works 100%, no errors, very nice playfield, solid cabinet with a few chips and light fade on the yellow on one side, and we paid $1050 for it.

Congrats on having pins on location!!! LOL. That is a rarity here :(

I had one, and loved it to death. Want another one.

But yes, for the love of god, PLEASE put cliffy protectors on the saucer holes. Those things get torn up super easy.

Already ordered :)

The saucers are not completely hammered; in fact they are pretty good, but I want to keep them that way, even with the limited play it will get. Realistically, this machine will see 3 or 4 games on it a week during the winter months, and less in the summer.

Chris

The saucers probably will never wear in home use.

$1050 for that game in that condition is a STEAL!! I'm surprised you got a deal like that at a pin show. In my experience 99% of the games at pin shows are "I don't really want to sell it, but will if a sucker comes along I will sell it at this price..." :)

Yeah, I thought that too, but I ordered them anyway. I will see if he wants to install them or I can hang onto them, and if the pin ever sells the new owner could decide.

The price suprised me. He told me what he was asking, and I honestly knew what I had. I told him I was not trying to insult him and offered what I could pay (what I had in cash). I figured it was worth a try, to which he came back witht he $1050 price. SO I quick found an ATM and the deal was done. Could not have been a nicer seller actually. There were two guys from Connecticut, and I don't have the card they gave me with their names at the moment. The both game me their cell phone #'s in case I had any issues with the machine. It was unable to be tested in the flea market area, something that always makes me nervous (not matter WHAT seller it is, no offence to this seller).

Got it loaded up and back to my place, and it would not power on, to which I immediately thought the worst. Luckily by buddy checked the line fuse forst, which was not seated tightly, then it fired right up and the rest is history. He is enjoying the machine very much, and is a nice addition to the two he already had (PinBot and Johnny Mnemonic).

They had many pins for sale, all in pretty nice condition. There was a Baywatch that pretty much looked new, and a nice Cue Ball Wizard, and many EM's as well. Of everything there, I knew I wanted the WCS, and I was extremely happy when the deal was possible, because I thought this would be out of reach.

While that may be true - the whole point is to preserve what is currently there and to prevent any future damage from occurring. I feel it's a shame when people don't spend an extra ~$50-$65 to protect a +$1K investment.
And let's not forget the ramp protectors. One ramp can easily cost a Benjamin Franklin - makes the Cliffy investment a necessity IMHO.

Correct. This is the same reason I put a Stroke of Luck protector on my HUO Revenge from Mars.

$1050 was a steal. I sold one in similar condition from what I can see from the pics, for $1700!

It's not $50-65 to protect a $1k+ investment, it's $50 to protect a few spots on the $1k machine. It's not like it protects the whole game... Same with the ramp protectors, some games really need it but this isn't a game known for having smashed up ramps.

Plus, the "protectors" I've seen for this game don't appear to offer much (if any) protection IMO. I cleaned up, touched up, and cleared the holes on my game, and they never wore over several years of frequent play. I'm just saying...

I have no problem if someone wants to put them on their game or anything, I mean it's certainly not going to hurt anything. But acting like they are a necessity is a bit overboard IMO. I've never used them. It's different if you're trying to cover up an already ugly, worn area or a broken part. Then sure, it's a no brainer.

Wade

These machines were clear coated and these saucers did get damaged. It is inevitable for certain spots on a PF to wear and my only point is to use what ever means necessary to stop it. I chose Cliffys. You chose to use what the manufacturer did in the first place. I would honestly sure have to believe steel is more durable for the long haul. In my own humble opinion I believe we as pin owners by all means should take every precuationary measure to ensure these machines are taken care and around for a very long time to come.
Wouldn;t you have preferred that the previous owners of most of your pins treated them as you do now? I know I sure do.

As far as Cliffys not offering much protection - these things not only cover any current damage but will stop the ball from chipping away at the pf again. I think the pic speaks for itself.

To me it is an investment of $50 to protect $1000+. (Mine is HUO and the saucers indeed did start to chip FYI.) With a crap playfield the machine is devalued and more importantly if the PF isn;t reproduced a pin with a bum playfield will get parted and the rest thrown away. No one has repro'd the PF or the cabinet art yet and I would bet it'll be a long time before/if it happens. I support anyones thoughts and opinions.

I am a man of "what if". I guess I try to be proactive instead of reactive. I askk, "Who's to say this pin will continue to be a home used pin?" If it is sold it very well may end up back in the public eye and future damage very well could've been prevented if the prior owner would've been proactive.

Bottom line to each their own. It's your /his /her pin and by all means do what you feel and think is right Silverunicorn

"Allegedly" HUO. So saying your HUO example got saucer wear pretty much means nothing right?

I can't see the picture that's linked in right now, I'll check it out later.

I don't see any harm in installing protectors of course. I don't want to sound like a huge opponent of protectors - I'm not.

Indeed. Any machine can be sold as HUO and unless you're buying it from the original owner whom hands you the original paperwork, "allegedly" would be accurate. I am the 3rd owner of an alleged WCS94 purchased from a reliable and trusted source.

I'm gonna have to get on the waiting list for one of those $1000 WCS94's!!

Wade

LOL Wade. I could not believe he excepted the offer. Will play some more on Sunday when at the in-laws :)

I need to get pics of his machines anyway. I got him into pinball as a "winter" activity when it's not nice enough to do yardwork or gardening, 2 things he really enjoyes.

Started with PinBot, then added a REALLY nice Johnny Mnemonic, and now the WCS.
