Has board or power problems. But the game might have been home owned(looks pretty clean, seller says it was). I will take better pics on monday when I try to fix it.

Since this one is going to be a keeper, I am going to off the one I have in storage. Its in Ok shape. If someone wants a project, let me know.

Also picked up a project rush 2049 today...

well, the control panel, coin door, side art have very little wear. Monitor has almost no screen burn. Leg levelers look new.. I will check coin drops..

Lucky find.. I highly recommend the Bob Robert power supply rebuild kit, if you suspect p/s problems, but then again, those caps are pretty old now! good luck

Damn, I got the guys number yesterday and was going to call on Monday and see if he would hold it. Oh well, you snooze you loose. Great score, looks real clean!

I think I put mark spaeth one into my WOW. I think I might have a spare arcadeshop one with my power supplies.

Pretty awesome! Gorf is an amazing game, and the one you got looks like it's in amazing condition. Post some more pics!

I knew it had to be you picking this up! The guy was kind of shady and called me back after I emailed him Saturday evening and said "if you want the game you should come get it right now, there is a guy coming in the morning from San Jose to get it." So I basically said if you already have a confirmed pick up from someone else I will pass.

1. I had a feeling it was going to be Bill picking it up.
2. That is just a shitty thing to do, after he confirmed with Bill he was going to let me come pick it up, this was at 9:30 Saturday night.

Glad you got it and glad it's a keeper, I was most likely just going to use it to trade.

That's a great looking cabinet; glad to see this game finally getting the love it deserves from the collecting community after all these years. At times I thought I was the only one!

Common problems with GORF:

1. Burn connectors on the power supply
2. Failed RAM (the pair of two smaller boards in the cage) you can switch their positions and see if the problem changes, at least to get an idea if there is an issue with one.
3. Failed CPUs from Rev.1 with no heatsinks

Yeah saw that for only $100 on CL and thought...
one of the guy shere is going to race out to get it. I'm suprised it lasted a couple of days. It should have been gone by Friday Night.

Finally took some pics(Have not cleaned it yet)... 1 side art sticker is scraped up a bit (Some of it will clean off). Also the melamie is lifting on 2 corners at the bottom.

I did contact him about 1 hour after he listed it. He got back to me on saturday and I made plans with him to get it on sunday. I am glad no one offered him more.. He did say he got a few emails on it.

Very nice machine. I saw the ad right after it was posted, but could not reply because the wife would have killed me if I went for it. Congrats

Very nice find, it looks great. So how many clicks are on the counter? Looks like the right side coin slot was either used heavily or something got onto it at some point, but could be a trick of the light.

I find it hard to believe it has 60,036 clicks on it based on the wear to the control panel. I have seen where the counter freaks out and it clicks like mad.. Who knows. not a big deal to me.

Yes, the coin slot is worn on the 1 side. Pretty weird.. The other side look like new. maybe someone tried to clean it and messed up the finish?

The back of the cabinet has those stapled papers still on it(QA card and how to clean the plastics). Plus the rear monitor protector is not cracked. The leg levelers are like new and the rear ones have rubber covers.

GORF LIVES!

Arcadeshop power supply arrvied today. Dropped it in and gorf was speaking!

Screen was still messed up. You could credit it up the game and it tried to work but had garbage graphics.

So I swapped the ram cards. No change. Swapped the CPU board. No change. Swapped the rom card. no change. Swapped the pattern board and bingo! Working gorf with good graphics.

Man, that game has a ton of light bulbs! It has all 6 of those original tubular light bulbs in it!

The only thing left to do is rebuild the G07 and adjust the joystick (It likes to go up all the time.)

Now the question is what to do with the old gorf. Cabinet is ok. It needs a good cleaning. monitor glass is very good. Control panel is decent. It has all its access doors. I have a better monitor protector that is going with the game..

I might have enough parts to provide a working pcb. I would prefer to off it as a project. Probably prefer to sell it minus boards and monitor, but if someone wanted it as a working game, I can probably do that.

Here are some pics:

as for a price, I was thinking
$50 for the complete cabinet minus monitor and boardset.
+$150 for a working boardset.
$350 for a fully working game(with arcadeshop power supply)
