My Son has been saving his $ for about a year. I pitched in the last $30 for him. I have to say, the PS3 is pretty impressive.

I gave him my old bluetooth and he was fighting in a war in no time with his friends online; he bought Call of Duty 2 or something.

After I forced him to go to bed at midnight, I started twaddling with the system. All that power and I download the namco colelction demo and play Pacman, LMAO!!

Not sure if it's just me and my bad luck, but when I got my PS3 I bought an extra controller and both of them have buttons that stick down after about a month of use. No food or drink spilled or anything like that, I'm pretty anal about the care and feeding of my gaming gear. Bad batch? Anyone else see quality control issues?

The PS3 is an impressive system. I have had mine for a little over a year now. If you're in to RPGs at all, there are some great ones for it, like Valkyria Chronicles, and Disgaea 3.

btw, "super moderator" shouldn't this be in the console section of the forums? ;)

Ps3 really hit its stride this year I like it more than my 360 and Im an xbot fanboy or at least I was. I ended up reordering metal gear 4 in anticipation for rising 17.99 from newegg. Now if they could release software emulation so I could play the others in my collection.

What streaming software do you use?

I was using Tversity. But I found a better way for myself. I don't mind streaming stuff but sometimes if my wireless is having a bad day (dropping, which usually never happens) I'd be mad. I then decided to go get a 8GB flash drive. I just put movies on them whatever I plan on watching. Plug it in. Go to movies and find the flash drive and hit the Triangle button to Display all and then play whats on their. I usually do this for newer movies I want to watch. Works great, currently in the middle of updating my media server though for the living room. I have 291 DVD's, 122 Blue Ray's. I love movies. So uploading them is proving to be a pain. Especially with no time.

xbox 360 too!

no My friends Xbox 360 controller same issue!!
and yea same about taking care of ANYTHING I own,
My friends say im beyond anal about making sure everything
is taken care of.
and If you find out a cure for sticking down buttons I am interested.
Cause the "A" button on the 360 is driving me nuts trying to play COD
even if its not mine id fix it for him if I knew of a fix

buy a new button pad and replace it yourself I had to do this for my halo controller. works perfectly now info here xbox-scene.com

yeah if you are sure its not dirt, its usually the rubber pads. Most controller repairs are not tough if you have the time to put in them. I rebuild 360 controllers all the time with parts from other controllers and am in the process of putting a ps3 d pad into a 360 controller since the 360 dpad is disgustingly horrible for playing tekken and i cant afford to pick up an arcade stick or ps3 right now lol

you can probably find donor controllers and or new parts on ebay or digging around on some of the modding sales sites.

I love my PS3! I just got a second one in a trade, so now I have a decent selection of games, but I definatly prefer it over Xbox 360 just because I like to watch movies and not play online that often...
