I picked up a really nice Missile Command. Super happy about it. It's been on my wanted list for a while. It has a few issues:

-Trackball is not working at all
-video is inverted both vertically and horizontally. (Weird thing is that the yoke connector looks like it's plugged in correctly )
-no audio

Hopefully I can get working on it soon.

I haven't even cleaned it up yet. It will look nicer after a little scrub.

I'm gonna have to do some testing because I'm not sure if the issue is the trackball itself or something else.

Beautiful cab, looks like glass has been replaced before? It's missing the base tags at the bottom.

If someone can ID the font, I can cut a few on the vinyl plotter if people need them.

I think someone actually just put a piece of tinted plexiglass over the original piece. I'll take a look later.

nice looking machine

there should be a clear plexi with the silkscreened base names in front of a "bronze" tinted plexi

Okay they probably just reversed them. Lol

I hate working 12 hour shifts. I've had no time to work on this yet.

The video thing is interesting, I wonder if it has something to do with 'cocktail mode' ? Haven't messed with missile command pcb's much.... if the trackball isn't working at all (by the way, you can't buy a new one! you can rebuild it, though)... and the video is upside down but shouldn't be (they had to be playing it at one point) I think you may have an issue going on with the pcb. once you look into it let us know...

A word of advice: when rebuilding the trak ball assembly, do whatever you can to retain the original bearings. Soak them in brake cleaner, rust remover if you have to as well, but try to use them. The replacement bearings are complete pieces of shit by comparison.

I had a few minutes to look at it today. I realized it actually has the Super Missile Attack add on. I'd like to switch it back to regular missile command.

Also I tried putting it into test mode and I just got a screen with garbage.

I cleaned the optical sensors but it had no effect on the track ball. I tested the 5v in to the track balls and I believe I was getting about 4.7v. I think this is a pcb issue. I probably have a few pcb issues. Maybe some ram issues.

I'd welcome any suggestions from Missile Command experts.
